^ The popularity part is a no brainer. But it's the way Canno structured the story that is difficult to adapt into an anime. The story is basically a main couple that doesn't even show up in a few of the volumes (correct me if I'm wrong: 4 volumes) with a lot of side characters, most of them being side couples, but some being in a side poly trio, and a side group of friends. Try adapting that into an anime, without ignoring at least some of the side characters.

More reasons in favour of me re-reading this (I'm currently having an internal debate on whether to re-read it in the near future).

I like this manga but still prefer Virgin's empire for the story structure.

@BV Yurine and Shiramine appeared in every volume. Even if it's just one chapter or a cameo.

And they spent the night happily after.

^ Oh, y'know what I meant: there were volumes in which there were no chapters in which they were the focus, and are thus easy to forget (for those chapters, anyway).

^Will that be just Komari x Hotaru but older?

Also, is best rival Bianca confirmed to be in Masters? I gotta check.

^The shorter boyish senpai and the taller caring kouhai is very popular. Katyusha and Nona is another.

I like this dynamic cause it makes the senpai's cuteness stand out, and the kouhai's devoutness and care is very endearing.

Also, Bianca can have a poly relationship with Rosa and Hilda. This way everyone is happy.

I always loathed Tuxedo simply because before he showed up, Sailor Moon was saying nothing but "Sailor Mars is so hot!" "Is that what a shrine maiden looks like? I wanna do that!" complete with lilttle hearts. They were headed straight for cousin status.
