@juanelric iirc, those aren't ribbons, but they are supposed to be shide, from an onusa (those wooden things miko/priests wave at stuff to purify whatever it is). Basically she's made her wooden sword into a pseudo-holy item.

@GrimEater As far as I'm aware, Ano ko ni kiss to shirayuri is one of the most popular yuri manga currently being published. Seeing as in the last couple of years the kings (or queens) of the genere, Citrus and Yagate Kimi ni Naru, have gotten their own adaptations it only makes sense to eventually move onto this.
