Well, we never do get a good look at his face, but yes, that would be my guess as well.

Just for starters.

You’re good. In a really horrible way. But good.

Yuu gets hit by a car while running home and falls into a coma, both keeping them seperate AND repeating Touko's trauma. THEN she wakes up and has amnesia. Also her parents introduce an arranged marriage and Touko's dad becomes a an anti-gay-rights politician.

Sayaka makes a surprise heel-turn and introduces magic love potions and Yuu decides post-coma to go out with the guy from the first volume after all.

Am I missing anything?

You forgot the NTR and other unexplained scenes of sexual harassment that implies one or more of the characters might have been abused in the past, but oh well, we will never know because everything will be wrapped up in a single chapter where nothing really happens except for a timeskip.

Sorry, I didn't mean to point us down even a facetious path of dark speculation. lol

I find it fun to comb back through a lot of the previous comments just to see what everyone had to say about it while it was being freshly released and how wrong most people were concerning the story.

If she goes back to the guy from chapter 1, that's where the NTR is. But you're right, Touko needs repressed memories of molestation by her sister. (nods) (nods)

Hopefully we're all aware enough to recognize that there isn't actually any danger of this stuff happening.

I've definitely had my share of missed guesses and misinterpretations.

Ever read Fuuka?

Spoiler Warning:

Yuu getting splattered by a bus is just the traumatic set up for the real story of how Touko becomes an idol which will conclude over a hundred chapters from now.

I don’t think most of those (by anybody) are a function of people being terrible guessers or inattentive misreaders of the story, but of that thing we’ve talked about a lot here—Nakatani’s remarkable skill at staying true to the characters and to the previous story while still keeping major character and plot developments potentially on the table.

My favorite example is the character of Sayaka, who once was seen as potentially taking a role as a strong antagonist gumming up the Yuu-Touko relationship because of jealousy and her own desire. Her character subsequently was developed to be quite the opposite (I stick by my previous description that she’s turned out to be “the most stand-up bestie in all of yuri manga”), but it wasn’t crazy to imagine the possibility of a dark turn to her character.

Hell, even now I’d put pretty much money on Yuu and Touko having a happy romantic ending. But I wouldn’t bet the house.

Yeah, but we aren't talking about another series, we're talking about this one, and that kind of twist is rare in the most favorable conditions, and doesn't really seem like Nakatani-sensei's style.

Fussing about the fact that a thing has happened once somewhere is not a great way to go through life.

I'm just saying we should keep our minds open to all the glorious possibilities.

My money is on the ninja pirate robot zombie apocalypse blind siding everyone leaving Yuu as the sole grizzled survivor. She tirelessly roams the post apocalyptic wasteland in an endless quest to avenge her fallen love.

Fast forward to the final battle where Yuu discovers that the terrible enemy she has been hunting is really what remains of Touko who has been rebuilt into a soulless cyborg killing machine by the ninja pirate robot zombie overlords.

Try as she might, even the battle hardened Yuu is unable to maintain her composure as she stands before the twisted mockery of her former love. She is struck down mercilessly as her mind overflows with emotion and the memories of the only person she ever loved. As the coming darkness closes in she desperately embraces Touko one last time before triggering the detonator on her explosive vest and putting an end to both of their suffering once and for all.

The sad part? This is already a better script than most actual shounen mangos have... :/

I'm hungry, I'd like a shoujo mango.

You mean 2nd best, I don't think anyone can top Matsuri "let me break into a rich person's house to help you rescue your lover" :P

No, I stand by it. Sayaka is the friend you can count on to do the right thing. Matsuri is the one for when you need someone to do the wrong thing.

(So Sayaka will go with you to the police station and stand by you when you turn yourself in; Matsuri knows how to get rid of the body.)

I'd definitely prefer to have a friend like Matsuri in that situation.

Do you mean breaking into a rich person's house to rescue your lover, or do you mean killing someone? Those may or may not be connected lol
