I was wondering if you all tend to reread works as a routine/ritual and why.

I, almost yearly, reread Ebisu-san and Hotei-san and Twin Cake, I simply love the characters and the steady build-up of their relationship in both series. Another one is Girl Friends, my "introduction" to the genre; I still remember waiting for each chapter to be scanlated, though back then I didn't actively seek yuri works. The one that properly introduced me to the genre, and actually helped me find this site, is Delivery, it's what comes to my mind when trying to define the genre.

Finally, this one is a bit strange, whenever I'm away from home, for whatever reason I always end up thinking about Renai Manga and reading at least a couple chapters.

What about you all, anything you simply have to read again every now and then?

This oneshot https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/decembers_melting_snow because I thought the story was beautiful, is a one shot but it has a short sequel too.
Just the face in page two gives me goosebumps

And of course this https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/x_chen#1 only for true people of culture.

Notes From The Garden Of Lilies is still one of the best yuri works I've read, maybe because I can relate short off or because it has a perfect ending.

I've reread Virgins' Empire and Hayate x Blade a lot of times. I never tire of either. Not a manga or yuri, but another one is the Suzumiya Haruhi light novel series. I also rewatch anime a lot, particularly all girls daily life stuff.

Kase-san is the clear winner here for me. I've read and re-read every chapter here online at least 20 times, and also bought all the official English volumes. It's just so wholesome that it simply feels good to read it. It's the manga equivalent of watching kittens and puppies playing together.

Another one I frequently revisit is Out of the Blue! This was one of the first manga I read on Dynasty, and I think the emotional climax of the story is fantastic. Plus I like how Risa just likes to fuck with Kazumi.

Like OP, I also go back to re-read Ebisu-san and Hotei-san from time to time. I just like how grown-up it is.

In a completely different vein, From Now On, Together With Senpai is the sweetest, most romantic, most lust-crazed sex-drenched porn I've ever read.

I also like going back and re-reading Murmurs in the Background - Betrayal because I wrote it, and it still amazes me that it even exists.

Oop, two more:

Honeymoon Baby is THE reason I'm a NicoMaki shipper.

Mezashi's YoshiMaru story arc is why I'm a YoshiMaru shipper, particularly the Kunikida-san is Bad at Seduction chapter, which I re-read on the regular because it is spine-crushingly adorable and cute.

One-Shots:

I have probably reread My True Feelings a hundred times. It's adorable, it's heartwarming, just a right balance of angst and fluff, and it has great, true-to-source artwork. I'm not the biggest Yuru Yuri fan, but this doujin converted me to a ship I'd barely even considered. Just so damn good.

Similarly is Talk of Little Love. Aki Eda's artstyle is just so damn adorable, and it makes this doujin all the cuter and sweeter. Yukari is the best character.

My True Feelings would be my pick if you asked me for my favorite one-shot; but if you asked me what I think the best one is, based on pure, objective quality, my pick would be Jewels. The art, the writing, the plot, the characters, everything just comes together in an incredibly satisfactory way to make one of the sweetest, most fulfilling one shots I have ever read.

Another Aki Eda piece, Plastic Heart is a good one when I want a slightly longer read; the doujin goes on long enough to squeeze out a great amount of comedy, angst, fluff, and sweet, fluffy feelings, but it's not so long as to feel like it drags on. Plus, that kiss!

The Long Wait is Over is a great one primarily for the viewpoint character; Yano's snarky inner monologue mixes greatly with SAD's trademark translation style, and makes it a very humorous, satisfying read.

From Aiu Station on the Hiragana Line and I'll Send Her Home on the Last Train have S+ tier relationship progression and a supposed gold-digger protagonist who just needed the proper motivator to realize how gay she really is. What's not to love?

Dusk, Orange, The Blooming Flowers... is my favorite pure drama/angst story. It manages to be realistically dramatic without being too heavy-handed, and I was sad about the ending, but not upset about it; rather than being unsatisfied, I just felt bad. It moved me enough that I just knew I had to include it here.

Damn, this ended up being a lot longer than I intended. I'll do something else for series at another point.

I will take every opportunity I can to plug Elena because I love the carnival setting and story.

I'm planning on revisiting Kase-san in May to prepare for the upcoming OVA. The series started out as a cute little manga I would read in my spare time and has quickly became one of my favorites!

I'm currently re-reading Girl Friends because I recently bought the collection physically. Still probably my favorite manga of all time, despite some glaring issues I have with the plot and the pacing. It's also the first yuri that I actually went out of my way to buy. Not that I wouldn't have bought other yuri manga in the past, but manga is expensive, you know.

There's quite a few Love Live doujins that I really enjoy, to the point where I can't even remember the name of a lot of them. Off the top of my head, I quite enjoy No. 1. By that I mean, it's my absolute favorite Love Live doujin and one of my favorite doujins in general. I really appreciate any doujin that puts Nico and Maki in a position that is both comedic as well as dramatic, showing that they can be argumentative as well as extremely sensitive. Basically, I like when they give this ship a variety of different angles, as opposed to just focusing on the tsundere nature of the two characters.

Spring Premiere is another really good one. Maki x Riko is technically not something I really ship, but I adore the way that this doujin manages to paint a realistic picture of the two of them, giving them a unique chemistry that exists outside of "they're both pianists, therefore couple!" It's a very beautifully told story of a fleeting, temporary relationship, done expertly to two characters that will probably never interact in such a way, and it's surprisingly believable all the way through.

She's Cute. I really like Maki. Is that not obvious?

For something slightly different, I often revisit This One Goes Out to All the 17-Year-Olds. A very dramatic but very pretty Dia x Kanan doujin.

Moving away from Love Live, whenever I'm having a bad day, I can always count on Bright and Cheery Amnesia to cheer me up with its infinite amount of charm and wit.

When I'm feeling down or at home sick and feeling sorry for myself, I reread Fu-Fu. Any Itou Hachi story gives me warm fuzzies. I've reread Gokujou Drops many times. Something about the girls in the house and the way they hit on Komori-chan cracks me up. Finally, Kobayashi-san chi no maid dragon. I 'm buying the Seven Seas editions and loving them.
