I'm having an annoying time knowing what to tag this, due to the content. It's clear from certain scenes that You and Kanan have penises in this, but skipping the yuri tag altogether, as would be the case if it was a NSFW release, would be a mistake here. Maybe it could skip a futa or transgender tag altogether, a lot of people wouldn't notice (altho the one big joke scene is pretty clear), but I felt it was noteworthy enough to deserve notice. But it's honestly hard to say what to do here, it's such an uncommon scenario and not one I'm satisfied with the solutions that deal with it.

I'm open to ideas about how to deal with things like this, sfw doujins that skirt the line in content.

I feel like when in doubt, especially when its not meant to be like fetishistic, side with Trans and Yuri. It's not really used outside of a prop gag and perhaps tying it to one other comic (that side stepped this issue by picking all three) and honestly if you feel like you're stuck offending someone, you might as well offend pedantic people not actual trans people imo.

As far as the Pixiv post is concerned, it's only tagged as Yuri, with no mention of futa or trans. KanaMari's sex position and Yoshiko's condom joke can easily be attributed respectively to missionary grinding and Yoshiko being a huge dork. There's nothing in the dialogue that directly hints at there being dicks as far as I can tell.

I loved this one. Would've been nice to see the sex scene, but it was still a cute story.

As for dpf's question, I am personally most in favour of tagging it as Transgender and Yuri. I would also add Futanari, although not so much because of the tag itself (I tend to associate it with the fetishized porny stuff which, although I enjoy it, I do not really consider trans-related - think classical dickgirls who also happen to have a vagina, and no attention actually spent on explaining their state, or identity issues). I would add futa here because it has already been used on examples such as Pito's previous work (where the penis is, like here, never actually visible), and this (where it is clearly visible, but is also all feely, and romantic, and even physically Honoka could pass for a pre-op trans girl who is on hormones; in any case, she is clearly not the classical huge-penis-and-a-vagina kind of futa girl). Because the futa tag is used on examples such as these, I would add it here as well, for the sake of consistency.

But the question is, is this even hinted at as being futa (in whichever way you personally use the word)? Some posters above are saying there is no evidence in the Pixiv post, and what we are shown in the doujin itself could be well explained by what Goggled Anon said. It could be that Pito tagged it as such on Twitter (I believe that was the reason for their other work getting the tag), but dpf did not say.

Probably not a good idea to tag it based on the author's previous works (Passionate Gaze isn't even his). The author does both yuri and futa works that don't share the same continuity (eg. Going Off Course has its own follow-up that hasn't been translated yet and it's pretty clear this isn't the same interpretation of You in this one).

Was not suggesting tagging it based on those works because of the author, but because of the type of stories that got tagged. That is why I picked those two examples (and I know "Passionate Gaze" is by Kitamura, that was not my point).

Same thing. You're going off personal interpretation as opposed to actual evidence. By that logic, pretty much any non-h yuri work that doesn't mention or hint towards any specific genitalia could be secretly futa/trans..

We are getting side-tracked here, so I suggest we limit this to the bare minimum (as in, this reply, and we stop then). Basically, no, you are misreading me. There is no "actual evidence" to be had here, futa has always been a problematic tag on Dynasty, regardless how it was used on other sites, and there are numerous examples of people opposing or arguing for it on various works, and consensus has never been reached, not on this site. Dpf was basically asking for our opinions, and I provided mine, at no point did I try to pretend I had some "facts". As for you misreading me, granted, it was sort of between-the-lines. I personally would not tag the two examples I provided as futa. Neither would I do so with this doujin. The Kitamura one I would go for the trans tag, same with these two Pito works. I thought I made it clear I was suggesting the futa tag here because of consistency.

Edit: Ah, I think I realised why you are misreading me. Apologies, I did not make it clear, clumsy on my part. Basically, if there is no evidence whatsoever that this indeed contains girls with penises, then I am for tagging it just with Yuri, however, if there is such evidence to be found (obviously not in the work itself, but on Pito's Twitter and similar), then I am for tagging it with everything, for reasons I stated. I thought the third paragraph of my first post made this obvious, but now I am seeing I was actually not that clear in my wording. Apologies.

Agree, I was puzzled what exactly caused the tag after reading it. Just to add that condoms are usually a lot easier to get than dental dams, so if you're going down the safe-sex route (concerns about which are explicitly mentioned in the dialogue), condoms are a seriously useful tool for two women as well*. Hence the presence of a condom does not really point to anything specific.

Seeing as Pito has no problems tagging stuff as futa if it should be considered as such, it does sort of stand to reason that this one is therefore not in that category.
