Seju's self-pitying and being overly attached to Sumin are the things she needs to overcome before this manhwa ends. she should learn to love herself for once and find her self-worth. I can't actually believe that Seju doesn't have any friends other than Sumin. it's one of the mysteries of this manhwa lol if Seju has any other friends, they'll probably slap her across the face to wake her up from her delusions of getting back with Sumin and tell her she's not worth it. wasting 10 years of your life waiting for someone that treats you like thrash. maybe a slap won't be enough for Seju, she needs a KO punch lol Sungji might be the friend who will give her one.

No, what I mean to say is there are 2 sides of the 10 years she has been through
1. She is a pitiful character who didnt know her own self-worth xDDDD. She deserves better and should move on long ago, with someone who knows her worth xDDD
2. She is strong, loyal and determined character who knows what she wants and what she needs despite all the pain xDDDD. And sometimes love with pain, hope without giving up after 10 years is one heck of a love xDDDD.

as for Sungji and Sumin. it's already obvious that they are going to end up together. Sungji is too good to be true for Sumin to give up which kinda sucks in a storyline perspective because loving someone despite their flaws is like the real measurement of how much you truly love that person. everything is going smoothly between them because Sumin finds her perfect. if she encounter problems with her like she did with her past relationships, she's probably going to leave Sungji too. I think Sumin is looking for someone who will give her emotional security more than anything else and that's what she sees with Sungji.

Yeah, I agree with you that one of the reason why SuminxSungji works is because Sungji is too good to be true.

But in a way you could see the resemblance between Seju and Sungji. They both stick with Sumin even though she didn't worth it xD. Sumin didnt treat Sungji really well. that cheating with Seju, she actively participated in it (not like Seju, she was actually well-awared of her cheating) so we could say Sumin is like trash to Sungji too and Sungji deserve better, but Sungji sticks around and wants to win Sumin's heart. She even forgave a cheating because she loved Sumin a lot xDDD.

Why don't we see Sungji pitiful for all the things she has been through for loving Sumin? Cause she is having what's the most important which is Sumin while Seju hasnt xD.

Readers think Seju should move on because Sumin is with Sungji but what about if in chap 50, instead of choosing Sungji and gave her a ring, she broke up with her and chose Seju instead but Sungji chose to stick around cause she thought she loves Sumin and wanted to win her back, would we also think that Sungji deserve better and with someone who didn't hurt her or loved only her? I think we are also gonna do exactly that to Sungji if it's that way, just like how we're with Seju atm.

There was a monologue in arc 1, I cant remember which chap, but I believe this is from Seju, "for all people who think Sumin is trash.....". I think those words can be applied for both Sungji and Seju with their love for Sumin despite how she treated them

yes and no..
I expected the ring issue to come up again before ch82.. but not the way it happened at all.

notice in ch80, Sumin was sitting with Sungji at the cafe, they were talking.. Sumin is holding Sungji's hand but her sentence was cut off.
that time I knew that Sumin is about to mention the ring or getting rings in addition to wearing couples shirts.
I also knew that the ring issue will come across because ch53 is sooo important.. and the ring will be the bridge that brings us there again.
Sungji still has her ring.. she put it on her desk in ch62. and it will come again once more.

Interesting... I did not pay much attention to Sumin being cut off in chapter 80, but good point. Before chapter 82, I felt the momentum of the story was still very much Sungji and Sumin. They just got back together and Seju was still in the background. I did not analyze the story as much back then and honestly did not have much hope for Seju and Sumin before that.

No wonder it seemed like Sumin made the choice between them fairly... easily after chapter 56, if you know what I mean? Now we know why with chapter 82 and what Sumin truly thought of the situation.

Very true. Thinking in terms of story, Sungji and Sumin supporters already got what they wanted, their characters are back together. The Seju and Sumin scene in chapter 64 could be technically seen as a farewell, as they "couldn't start over," but it obviously was not. With the "momentum" of the story now, I see a final, definitive break-up between Seju and Sumin... less likely. Well, I should probably hold back on that until the ending. That scene in chapter 64 was heart-wrenching enough. Now, they need to finally address those core issues.

She does have her other 29 exes, and we never saw her going back to hurt any of them. Poor Sumin, she wouldn't have looked so much like a jerk had she let Seju wait and die alone. :P

Every Seju fans are all probably emotional masochist who can relate to her LOL (just joking) I started to love Seju when she finally stood up to Sumin and told her that she's not the only one hurting in their toxic relationship for her to treat her like thrash but then TG swerve us and she's back again to her self-pitying and self-loathing older persona.

Well, it's not that hard to love Seju when Sumin is also a pos. I'm not saying Seju is as pure and kind as Sungji but Sumin can be unreasonable and selfish at times that I can't help but question why she deserves "the healing story" plot. I mean it's not like Seju cheated on her behind her back during the time when they were still together, it was a drunken one night stand. so storyline-wise it is a redeemable act. however it also shows how weak Sumin and Seju's relationship had become at that point and imo this is how Sungji and Sumin relationship should be tested. the problem should come from Sungji not from Sumin. Sungji will just forgive her over and over again but can Sumin forgive Sungji if it she was the one at fault.

and finally according to my observation/analysis. Sumin tends to have longer relationship with women when she's the one topping compared when she's the bottom.

well, she always come back to Seju and in return Seju stayed by her side or rather became more obsessed to her and whatever Sumin had to go through with her 29 exes has nothing to do with Seju well, except for the one who two-timed her. I can see Sumin's perspective on why she treated Seju like that but I don't think her reasons are enough to make someone's life more miserable than it was before because of one mistake. Sumin's life turned upside-down when she lost her parents. something that Seju shouldn't be accounted for. it's not like the cheating is the only reason why she became like that.

Nah, no need to sorry, its ok if its reasonable. Like I said, some of Sumin's actions made her look like a jerk, not her personality :). I know why she did what she did but because of the fact she cant love the person she wanted to love and transfer all that love to hatred and held it for so long to that person makes things the way they are now.

At the beginning it was Seju's fault(well, only partly with that cheating, it was not even entirely Seju's fault but it got dumped all into her head) but things like this for 10 years and got worse like this, I think Sumin is the one who should get more blame. Not that I'm saying Seju was innocent or being the victim, she also actively joined the torture anyway). Like you said, if Sumin left and never came back and let Seju die, no one could've blamed Sumin for many things
It was Sumin who unconciously let Seju do what she did to make her come back to her everytime. Its also her who couldnt back to love Seju like she did or hate her enough to leave her. Love but cant love, hate but cant hate. That's her. And if we used that misery to make an excuse for every jerk action she did to Seju, it would've been too unfair for Seju anyway.
Honestly though, to me, for 10 years, both of them has been at fault, but all the recent actions make Sumin look more like a jerk than Seju so I dont defend her, lollll, she really was a jerk, even though I still wish her a happy ending, this hasnt changed since the beginning =))))))))

I dont want to compare but honestly, even though both of them were in pain for 10 years, but to me, Seju was more miserable. At least, Sumin got to play the victim card, "I was not the one at fault" to date all the girls, to release all her rage by having all the wild sex and wine, to channel her anger to Seju, at least she got to be the jerk and rage at Seju. What have Seju got except guilt, regret and pain? Shutting everything down to just wait for her? one night with nammi and she already got one heck of a speech from Sumin xDDDDD. To me, that one chapter has got me totally cashing her down as an unreasonable jerk.

So honestly, you cant blame Seju fans for feeling unfair. Sumin has got 29 ex to forgot pain for a moment for 10 years , to top it off, she now has an angel like Sungji to be her girlfriend, reliving her miserable life while here we have Seju, still miserable like the in the beginning of the story, pinning over a girl who has been keeping torturing her by love and hate for 10 years, ans now that girl has already moves on while she still helplessly reaching out for that girl who only started stopping living in denial and treat Seju better or showing her emotions towards her lately.

P.S: you finally act like a Sumin fan, sia ue. People can stop asking. Now it seems like we'll have alot of fun debating =)))))))
P.P.S: I think she is a jerk but I dont think she is treating Seju like trash but I do think she has been waaaaaayyyyyy too unreasonable towards Seju for too long, even before their break up, tbh, Seju's cheating was also partly result of Sumin's unreasonable acts xD.

What got worse? 10 years ago, she was a cheating girlfriend, and Sumin had already left her high and dry. These day, she is you guys’ most favorite character. :'D Also, Sumin had to talk to her when she wanted to cut ties with her. Moreover, Sumin even agreed with her one last wish. She also received Sumin’s forgiveness. No only that, Sumin let her live with her and has been taking care of her even that she realized that this was so wrong to Sungji, her current girlfriend. Again, what got worse?

Was it fare for Sumin? 10 years ago she got cheated and scared. Today, she is a jerk because she did hurt her cheating girlfriend. Every good thing she is doing to Seju these days is a must, so it doesn’t count?
