Forum › New here Need Manga Recommendations
I haven't read many GL manga to be frank, I've read shitsurakuen, LOVE DNA, and i don't actually remember the titles of the others.
I am not particulary looking for a specified kind of GL manga, though the one with are rich with story, plot, and development would be great. Personal favorites are very welcomed as well! Thanks!
My personal favorites that I go back to again and again and are completed:

Some series I didn't list because you should just read everything by these authors:
Otsu Hiyori: https://dynasty-scans.com/authors/otsu_hiyori
Morishima Akiko: https://dynasty-scans.com/authors/morishima_akiko
Morinaga Milk: https://dynasty-scans.com/authors/morinaga_milk

Currently on-going popular yuri titles if you wanted to join in on the discussions:
Bloom Into You: https://dynasty-scans.com/series/bloom_into_you
Citrus: https://dynasty-scans.com/series/citrus
I guess NTR fits in this category too? (I haven't caught up yet) only 7 ch on dynasty right now, but the other 13 ch should be uploaded here soon I think: https://dynasty-scans.com/series/netsuzou_trap
That should keep you busy as a starter pack haha. Most of these are just romance, but if you wanted something different like action, slice of life or subtext instead I can recommend some others. You can always just check out my favorite list too. Have fun!
A good policy is if you see more than one list under someone's icon, it's worth checking out to see what they've listed.
the answer to every rec thread is always Qualia the Purple

Or any lists period is really worth a look. I have several lists that'd be completely pointless to make public, for example. My general "read" list which includes everything I've read regardless of quality, to-read list, a secondary to-read list for in-progress series, a list which just serves to keep track of releases I was involved with, and another one which is typically empty which just keeps track of series and chapters I intend to download to read locally in the future. I only have my favorites list set to public for that reason.

Well, Chikaon already listed most of the good things, but I'll try to list some of the good things that I remember... uh, let's see here...
There's Yuzumori-san. You might be a bit icked out by the premise, and that's understandable, but I think it's a fairly realistic, unsexualized, sometimes humorous look at pedophilia and all that jazz... give it a read sometime. https://dynasty-scans.com/series/yuzumori_san
All of Kuzushiro's stuff is pretty solid too. All of her things have a great, distinctive art style and wonderful humor. I'd avoid Renai Kowai though; from what I understand, it's just generic het crap. Even if you do like it, it got dropped after the first chapter anyway, so... yeah... https://dynasty-scans.com/authors/kuzushiro
How could you all forget Fujieda Miyabi, who can literally do no wrong, and Minamoto Hisanari, who may occasionally cause death by cute.

I should start just adding all the stories I've read into a list. I always end up forgetting a one shot or series that I've read before that wasn't "favorite" quality, but felt like going back to revisit a couple years later.

I was sort of assuming something like this. A lot of people likely do the same, but folks with multiple lists would be more likely to actively curate them. It's not bad to check lists in any case though, you'll tend to find stuff they might not put in a reply in a thread.

This would probably be a good idea for me to do eventually. There's enough stuff on my favorites list and enough that I might want to reread that isn't on it that I frequently just end up looking through the one-shots and series I've saved locally when I'm looking for something specific and can't remember the name since that includes everything I liked enough to save for later unlike my favorites list.
