I've gotten similar (though not as extreme) reactions from friends of mine who regularly enjoy anime/manga. It is unfortunate that people can't understand the difference between a pedophile and someone who enjoys lolis. This topic suffers the same problem that violent video games do. Well, it's been pointed out before that the collar doesn't seem typical of beast girls, and she already had it before meeting Master.
