Alright, so i'm thinking of giving another shot at making a yuri comic/manga/whathaveyou, but for it to work out there's this math problem i have to figure out which i suppose should be basic stuff but i'm pretty bad at math, so if someone here knows please help me out

For example let's say there's a 1.500km wide ring up in space right above the Earth's equator line, how do i figure out where on Earth this giant ring would be visible? Not yet set on how high up in space it is, but the thing is that i need to adjust the height depending on how visible it would be depending on the vintage point, so pretty much i need a formula that let me calculate it depending on how far away (and how high) the vintage point is from the equator line
