While I agree that Mare is pure garbage, I think you're a bit too harsh towards Morinaga Milk I've never been fond of her, but a mangaka can sometimes be forced to draw trash to earn money Blink at Kodama Naoko. I mean, she's not Buddy K Peta, and given Girl Friends, you still can give her some credit and show some pity ^^

Although I completely agree that Octave > GF, Octave being my second all-time favorite Yuri, miles above everything that's been mentioned in this thread for a while.

Not really. An okay mangaka in my book. Knew he drawn hentai too but then again men tends to have more lewd thoughts than women.

Here I must disagree, women are- if not more, at least as perverted as men, even if not necessarily on a sexual way.
A lot of NSFW stories here are mostly read by girls, this one with an insane amount of sex tag has been unanimously praised. Why do women also enjoy perverted stories like Kodama-sensei's, manipulative characters like Remi from All we need is love ? Never picture women as innocent and pure beings, you'd be surprised when you'll experience reality otherwise. Purety doesn't exist, it's a myth that disappears at adulthood.

I think what people are confused/troubled by is how seeing one "bad"/(dark sexual themed) work of an author made him trash talk her completely, as if suddenly, he couldn't enjoy anything else she did because the "purity" was ruined of his image of her was ruined. He personally attacked the author iirc? Like he took it way too personally, it's pretty much unrelated matters.
Besides, Morinaga has written some het smut before, tho I do suspect it was cus well, yknow, work is work, but now that she can fully invest herself in yuri. That is what she's been doing in the last years, which is great that she can now earn a living drawing what she loves.

Speaking of weird dreams, had a very weird one recently. A little of a backstory, it was after one of the discussions I had here; decided to take a nap. Don't really remember much from it, besides me and Rina being detectives and trying to solve a mistery surrounded by a murder of someone within Dynasty Cafe.. wish I remembered more. I do remember a few users appearing in it, but I don't remember who got murdered or who was the suspect... it was probably like Murder on the Orient Express.

It came from Google Ads on a trusted site and on top of that was somehow missed by both my antivirus and Malwarebytes until it was way too late. I do use it too. I know its good to avoid anti virus and ahem other ads too. But turn it off for site who request me to turn it off when ads are their primary income.

Yeah, Mare is horror. The sexuality in it isn't meant to be porn. Rather than "fanservice", it's more fan disservice. The intention isn't to make it hot, it's pretty gross and feelsbad, which fits the theme of horror and dark magic and shit. Makes your skin crawl. That's the whole point.

Yep, pretty much this. Like, I think having a caracter raped to make you feel bad for them is kind of lazy storytelling if it doesn't have any impact further than that, but that's also pretty much the worst thing about that scene, writing wise.

Well, I kinda doubt it's gonna shoot down any ships. If Ana and Widow are anything to go by, it's probably gonna be an ex rather than a current partner and even though both of them had husbands (or very probably had a husband in the case of Ana, or maybe even still has), they're still getting shipped with other members.

That being said, I hope they make like, Genji x Zen canon. a) All the Genji mains would lose their shit and b) I'd finally get a Zenyatta animation. I really want a Zenyatta animation.

Rather than simply turning it off because a site asks you to the most reasonable actual option is to vet their ad service first. For example I disable my blocker for Project Wonderful's ad service because their ads are very reasonable. (And two sites I frequent use their ads too but I unblocked them not because those sites asked but because I vetted the service first.)

Also avoiding an antivirus isn't a good idea. You should always run an antivirus just in case but you should also be careful what links you click and what sorts of scripts you let run on your computer as well. Antiviruses are imperfect but so are people. Even if you're very cautious you're going to slip up eventually so it's best to cover yourself for that eventuality.

Also, this whole overreaction to Mare is hilarious, as much as it is ridiculous. I mean, it wasn't even that bad; I actually found it rather enjoyable for what it was and how the story flowed (and it still ended in yuri between Tsukiko and Mea).

Can't disagree with the clutter bit but Project Wonderful in particular is pretty good about it. They have strict guidelines on their ads. no sounds, no obnoxious animations, and the only scripts that can run are the ones Project Wonderful themselves include to track clicks so there's no worries about pop-ups or malware unless it's something from clicking the ad and getting redirected to the ad's site. though they make better efforts than Google does at keeping their ads free of that sort of thing and I haven't personally actually heard of such an occurrence happening. (This isn't me trying to convince you to change your habits either to be clear, just pointing out that not all ad services are guilty of that is all.)

^ Project Wonderful does sound like they actually do take effort in filtering their ads, I'll keep that in mind next time.
