Anywho, anybody care to discuss their least favorite movie?
Tbh the only film that I really disliked watching was "Singin' in the Rain" which I was forced to watch for a project...mother of ra that film was so cringey to watch. That aside, I am not impressed by the local "films" here, it's so tasteless and subpar.
feminists and social justice warriors
Tbh these are only as bad as ppl make them to be, and the fact that the whole thing only started gaining traction on the internet after the whole GGate incident kinda shows that ppl are just rearing their cattle-like minds towards the next "Hate of the Month".
I've spent nearly 2 years on Tumblr now and I've never once encountered any of the types of ppl that the internet has their panties in a bunch about, it's all about what you're seeking out and what you're following, and that applies to almost everywhere on the internet. Same goes for Twitter, Reddit, FaceBook and YT, if you don't search for it chances are you won't even hear about it - which is sad when you realize these ppl trying to make the next "Social Justice Warriors/Fems busted" hit, are wasting their lives purposely searching for something to criticize. But, it's the internet, and some ppl need something to validate their likely meaningless life and so they turn to trying to please "the masses", but in reality they're just shutting themselves inside a bubble.
Tbh I've less respect for those "ethics/activist warriors" than I have for the Fems and JWs. Boycotting a movie because it has a female lead and thus must be "feminist agenda", really? And not to mention the oh so bloody common trend nowadays of blaming every change in import from Japan to the West as "censorship caused by the feminists/JWs", which in reality, "censorship" has been around for decades and I doubt it's due to the aforementioned. And for Japan where their entire culture emphasizes on not starting trouble or stirring controversy whenever possible, the whole R18 game being sold on Amazon incident likely left a note in their minds that the West are uptight about these kinds of things, and that was years ago.
Also, the term "Social Justice Warriors" has lost it's original meaning, nowadays it has degraded into an insult used by the internet rightwingers to ridicule those that are more progressive than them; it's pathetic when you realize that part of the world would rather go back to the ages of discrimination and proscecution than striving for a equal world for all. But then again, if even the non-white/LGBT are treated as humans, who else would there be to validate the lives of the ppl that are on the lowest of the scale? It seems like humanity has a tendancy of wanting to see others as sub-humans/trash to make themselves feel superior, even those that are already trash in their behavior.
Sorry for the long post, it just needed to get this off my mind for a bit > o >
