Cant say I like the story or setting but thats just me. My biggest problem is the art dosnt appeal - its very clinical - and I dont mean just clean or simple lines like some manga that i love the style of. Was it drawn in illustrator or something maybe?

Can't find anything close on Google, although it's definitely not funnel cake. It does seem to be from Bonne Chance Cafe in Boston though, although there's no menu available online.

It seems to be Mont Blanc. It's made of chestnut puree.

I remembered seing similar cake in some manga. My first guess was Yotsuba&!, and it was actually named there! Google pretty much confirms the look

Having watched Escaflowne I guess I'm more or less immune to long noses. Compared to those, these ones feel rather mild.
