So, they put additional effort into something that (obviously) inherently disrupts the reader's enjoyment, ranging from annoying to "Well, I am not gonna read this". Regardless of their intent of trying to get ppl to buy it from the artist... Going out of their way to do this is OK because of their good intentions?... No, actually.
They translated stuff in the past? Irrelevant to the discussion.
Translations take effort? Irrelevant to the discussion.
Someone posted a link to a proper version? Good, it's nice to see a user that wants people who were unable to enjoy the doujin actually enjoy it... Like ya know... anyone else would.

Why not take it? Loyalty to the ones who did not give us the proper version even tho they could've just given it? I don't think the majority of readers even consider "loyalty" a thing when it comes to translation groups, etc. Due to the very nature of things, people will take whatever is released if they like the content, regardless of who translated.
Should they be loyal or care for who did it? Not really, no. Translators provide because THEY want to do so, not because they want the reader's appreciation... (unless they are needy of any kind attention).
Satus might be a bit radical on the matter, and I don't really know why you are white-knighting so hard here, when there is a clear fault at hand.
