Just watched ep 12. And wondering if....

.....toward the end, Reina thought Kumiko did something alone with Taki-sensei for hours (and can't pick up the phone) to buy her way back to play that part :D

On the positive side. She didn't show anger or jealousy. Just shocked. So she probably thought more about Kumiko than Taki-sensei

I can never tell with Reina lol but god damn she literally shows attraction for both Kumiko and Taki. But who do you love more Reina? I have a feeling because of how well they made him (taki-sensei) out to be as a teacher (and nothing more) there can't be any romance between him or any student (whether it being reina or not). It would just destroy what "is" of his character; which has been standing in the entire series as a good teacher (he just doesn't seem as the type either. he is honestly just a good teacher that wants to improve his students. Besides we know nothing of his life outside of school. He might even already be in a relationship or has someone he loves already). That and this anime isn't that type anime. I am still with the idea that no type of relationship would come from him and Reina. Which leaves me thinking reinas other most important person (as equally) ....(or more...heheh hey I can dream ;)) is actually kumiko. And Kumiko is there at her reach. Also that reaction wasn't jealousy it was more of chocked, so maybe she is flustered over not taki-sensei alone but also Kumiko!! hey guys what if WHAT IF Kumiko and Reina kiss at the end of the anime? how would everyones reaction be? lmao (this is just a fun question, for those who will try to explain the het ending on the novels, no need for that I already know. If the novels ended which many people are contradicting themselves -.-. Regardless I'll stick with what i know) But yeah what if they actually kiss?! They will hands down be the best goddamn yuri couple ever seen in anime history no lie O.O
OH and I want to point out how many missing calls Kumiko had from Reina!! hehehe also in the entire episode she was supporting Kumiko and practicing with her.. aaaaaaahhhhhh I love them soooooo much. this ship will be the end of me!! hehehehe my guilty pleasure ~ I think this is my fav ship alongside Homura x Madoka, Nanoha x Fate and Sayaka x Kyouko. these are within my top 3. I have other liked ships but none ever come close to being in the top~

Still think that Taki is just more of an object of the admiration. I means he's double her age (i believe he's 35 to her 15), and used to be a friend of her father. My guess is they probably didn't meet till recently as well. She barely know him anything more than his talent, and i don't think he's anything more than an extension of her love to music.

Remember that she didn't pursue him at all before, until she know that she can learn from him by going to this school. She probably was chasing after his talent rather than the man himself

Kumiko meanwhile is different, as she almost detach from Reina link to her music. In fact the band and music actually was just an extension in their relationship. Kumiko has been someone whom Reina can retreat back to. The one who she will throw away school/band/ practice and jump on a train to run away with. I means Reina's confession of love was "you have terrible personality" , and what intrigued her is the desire to tear Kumiko mask off. Both were as far away from music as it can get.

Edit: and remember who she rather spend the festival with? Taki was right down in the middle of the festival with the kids and she could easily make an excuse to stay around there with him. Instead she dress up, lead Kumiko alll the way up to the mountain to get some alone time. Kumiko or Taki? There's simply NO contest

again HOW THE HELL ARE THEY NOT TOGETHER?! yuri baiting only happens for one or two episodes this entire show has been literally about Kumiko and Reina coming together!!! Many of us see as a simple bait (and I agree at first that's what I thought too) but seriously, this is just no way in hell bait anymore, to the point even Kyoani (I believe) themselves actually fell for the damn pair too...To be honest they have actually dogged their own grave if they don't make it a no relationship ending, because I feel that if they put Shuichi and Kumiko together even Japan will flip out XD. They know that they ship them too!! so why not make it happen!!! they can try to convince the novel author to do it!! unless they have already convinced him or her which explain literally the unending screen time Kumiko and Reina are getting (yeah seriously since episode uno, it has always been about them) They could had turn things around in episode 5(or after) started developing Kumiko's and Suichis relationship but they didn't!!... who knows only 1 or is it 2 eps left? only the final episode will tell.

The funny thing about Hibike, is i have rarely seen an anime where the het shipper have to grasp at straw so much like in this one. And it's so obvious because like many of us here, i have been on a losing side of a shipping battle many times. And you can see the same desperation that we all were so familiar with.

Like one was trying to prove how close Kumiko and Shuichi was by mentioning the symbolic gesture of them walking in parallel path to each other (it's called "a street" and they live in the same direction, mind). And this episode showed how Kumiko has started to grow away from what interested Reina in the first place. And it indicates their relationship will only drift away in the future.....

... i just want to pat that poster in the back... I really do. He did try hard on a losing battle

How the hell did KyoAni pull of a scene like that !?!?! (Where Kumiko was running home over the bridge) and yelling into the river or whatever that was so stunning! Still shocked that they could pull something like that off, and when that guy saw Kumiko yelling I thought he was gonna cross the ride (potentially meaning the end of Kumiko x Reina) but NO! Ahh Fangirl scream Glad I woke up at 4(am) to watch it, put me in such a good mood more Fangirl screams I genuinely think that KumikoxReina will be a Official <3

If you are shoujo ai fan, then you are yuri fan, ergo, your argument (or w/e it was) is invalid. Yuri refers to all mangas focusing on lesbian(s) the same way Yaoi means all BL stories. The separation on shoujo ai (no R-rated scenes) and yuri (includes R-rated scenes) is pure made up by Americans. In Japan they use yuri to refer to both of them. Y'all need to take remedial humor classes.

Shounen ai is used to describe "someone who loves young boys" and it is usually assumed that this person is older than said boys. That is why Japanse rather use terms Yaoi or BL, because they don't have any negative implications.
