...What was with that weird pause that Sporano did when Mirei asked her about their old pictures together?

The shot of Soprano on page ten she looks so cute and happy.

Whoa why did Mirei calling her cute look so damn creepy. Was it supposed to come off creepy? Because the question she asked herself was questioning what she meant by calling her cute.. Which would mean she does feel SOMETHING for Soprano but holy again that looked so creepy.

Also uh I guess Nana is trying to move on after her bitch moves of both demanding Soprano go back to modeling and then being a twat throwing a bunch of water on Mirei?

The shopping date was cute I'm more interested to see how they act at the festival though. Hopefully no one tags along and it's just them two alone.

That read to me as her experiencing her first jolt of sadistic joy after rubbing the food off her face. Combination of the cleaning, seeing her blushing face, feeling her heat and trembling must have awakened that in her. It also works as a reversal of many of the intense expressions Soprano-chan has given throughout the story.

Additionally I think it's meant to convey she said it in a teasing dominant kind of way. Like look at this adorable creature that I could ruin if I wanted to.

This chapter was a surprise though, if this manga ends up role reversing with dominant Mirei teasing Soprano-chan then I will pop off.

Im all in for a plot twist where Mirei ends up being the twisted and pervert one in the story

Yeah as people are saying there's a couple possible ways you could take this. Obviously the horror page is meant to make an emotional impact and to be a bit disturbing. I think we'll see what form that takes precisely as things settle in the next couple chapters--is she feeling predatory and afraid of her own feelings? is it meant to show her as a guilty party? Is she the one with the really intense desires, once they're awakened? We'll have to wait and see.

This is super fucking exciting though, what a dramatic page. it really punches a hole right through the story so far into something even more intense.

Weird pause and shot of Mirei probably just indicate shit gets weird from here. Maybe Mirei becomes overly possessive?? I'm calling it in the air. It was very disturbing so I think the series might have a dramatic change of some sort. Also Nana just embarrassed for being a bitch.

Honestly this psychological stuff is, as far as I can see, all in Mirei's head. When Mirei got obsessive and creepy saying "Cute" it wasn't Soprano who got scared, it was Mirei. I think Mirei is forever scared of romantic feelings, both coming from herself and others. I also think people are overthinking on Soprano not answering on the pictures. Considering how Mirei's entire deal in childhood was "My memories with Soprano" I bet 90℅ of the pictures were literally JUST Soprano, and that isn't really great for Soprano who wanted so many more pics from Mirei.

Good analysis, this kinda reframes the entire story for me. Especially now when Soprano be acting cute as. It might be like that Kitanai one here on Dynasty if you know what I mean. roles reversed

That's a great theory! It makes sense with the couple intense frames of Soprano during the story, Mirei being intimidated by her intense emotions.

Also wow Mirei you really need just like one person in your life who will sit you down and really grill you about why the hell you think you are straight.
