^^ idk I thought that was a understandable scene. Natsuki just telling Shizuru although she doesn't love her in a romantic sense that Shizuru deeply does, Natsuki does deeply care for Shizuru as she was the one that was mainly there for her and helped her with most things. I would kinda say that Natsuki felt like her relationship with Shizuru could be described as Aleksander and Emma's relationship (from Veil), where it's not really platonic, but not really romantic at the same time, it's just in-between. Where you can just show affection just for the sake of showing affection, like how you just give gifts just to give and not expect anything in return, no thanks or anything equivalent. I personally like how they made it that way, where there could be potential for them to be together, but overall just shows they have a relationship beyond than being romantic partners.
