I like to go back to this series every couple of years.
Everything from the art, the designs, the setting, and personalities are perfect at fully making you feel like a part of this world. It may be a bit boring at times to some due to its slice of life and wholesome nature, especially with the gorgeous illustrations that I've sung my praises on countless times, it's always a nice read
I frankly also consider the writing the most pleasant out of all her other works that come to mind. While certainly not perfect, it keeps such a fluffy consistent tone throughout that I find it hard to point out any gripes I may have. Of course, being such a long serialization over roughly half a decade, you can see Itou Hachi's art and writing evolve with each volume.
It feels like the perfect microcosm (can i really say *micro*cosm for a 40 chapter work?) of all of Itou Hachi's personal interests within the yuri genre. As for the ending, while on my first read it felt a bit sudden, upon re-reads I think it fits. This series was never one to dwell on anything serious for long, and it (unfortunately) couldn't last forever. I think Itou Hachi (or YuriHime editorial, who knows) picked a good place for it to end.
