god like, someone offered up the possibility that Maya may be trans several chapters and years ago now, and holy shit, this chapter with it's "only a few people called me by that name" in addition to everything else that other people have noticed from previous chapters. No way there's a cis explanation for this one haha

There's. She meant by first name.
Also nobody was surprised (she never was on a reunion since school.)

Why would she do that - because she likes Maya and understands that she might lose her.

Do you know what a great way to lose the person you like? Disappearing without a trace and then showing up years later with a kid just because the kid's dad died and now you need someone to help you.

That's not what happened, they've meet each other again by chance. And Maya was the one who offered help and not the other way.

I really loved the story and waited impatiently for every chapter, I'm not dissatisfied one bit but still I'd like it to develop more till they feelings really grow into a big sweet yuri) It would totally bacome a comedy then <3

I don't get how Tsugumi hasn't find a place to belong to with Midori, ran away but still thought something like I love Midori after friggin 10+ years wat the hell?! It's just surreal.

This is the best subtle yuri I've read this year <3 I wish the best of lucks to author :3

About Tsugumi, I mean, experience makes you wiser, she was looking for places where she belonged, she had that with Midori, but she still yearned for more, the big city promised to be a place of many opportunities, to belong. But in the end she never found a place to belong again (other than living with Haru in her hometown), still caught up in her time with Midori in middle school like Midori.

I know this is a yuri forum and everything, but the people potentially getting squicked out by the age gape might remember that so far there hasn't been the slightest hint of romantic feelings between Haru and Midori. Yes, Midori probably loved Haru's mom, who Haru physically resembles, but Midori doesn't seem to have even realized the nature of her past feelings toward Tsugumi, let alone had any such feelings toward Haru specifically. And Haru still doesn't quite know what to make of Midori.

Given the nature of the pacing of this series (both of which I like a lot) there's a looong way to go and many developments to happen before there's any such thing as an age-gap romance.

(I do want Midori's mom back--she's one of my favorite yuri manga moms.)

People that get squicked out by age gap should learn to stop clicking things that are literally labelled age gap and then going all surprised pikachu over it afterwards.

That'd be nice, I think.

Amen!

Why not?

this was fun, I can get why other people might think it ended too abruptly but honestly I had always gotten the feeling that the story was going to end once they graduated and Lin Luxi got out from under her mothers control. Like this is where a new part of their lives starts so it figures if the author wanted to end anywhere it would be here.

And yeah on a certain level it sucks that Lin Luxi's mom never stopped being homophobic, but Lin Luxi moving away to live on her own with Tong Tong is just as much of a resolution to this storyline as it would be if her mom learned to be better.

Well put.

Tbh if we dont get to see them get it on ill be pissed. In general i hope this is one of those series that keeps going into the relationship rather than ending soon after it starts.

They were already in a relationship in chapter 23, or not?

I hope there's happiness for them soon!

a timeskip, well I suppose they'd want us to see the part where they live happily ever after rather than the part where they can't be together so I won't complain.

Without the time skip it would have been something like 30 chapters or more of them studying alone and being miserable, that doesn't sound like a good time imo haha

This ☝

And now Tongtong's mom will give advice to them..... I have a very bad feeling. I feel like it will make things even worse. Being the liberal woman that she is, she could hardly empathize with the problems of a responsible mother.

By the way, there seem to be several who disagree with my opinion that Tongtong's mother is a whore, disregarding the fact that she almost had her daughter abused by a degenerate. Shit, if he had really raped her the situation would have been much worse. I think the manga treats that situation too lightly.

What victim blaming now?? The mother is aswell a victim as the daughter.

I don't like it at all that the mother who is a whore and practically left his daughter at the mercy of a degenerate has a happy and satisfying life while the other mother has a somewhat miserable life, she is doing what is best for her daughter, there is nothing wrong with that.

Which story do you have read???

Idk why everyone's celebrating such a massive violation of someone's personal space and the lack of consent. Tongtong kissed her multiple times in her sleep and even tried slipping some tongue in. Imagine if a guy was doing that. I'd bet a lot more people would call it assault instead of saying it's cute.

Because only one person has to decide about the consent of a person and that is the person themself. And this Person didn't mind it, where's your right to to complain about it??

Coincidentally placed lesbian couple just when she needs to know that it's a possibility that 2 girls can be together.... Fuck I love this story.

I wouldn't say that, I would say it was pretty smart & good from the author. You won't see that in the streets of China, they went overseas, for vacation, where such things are completely common. It was really great from the author.

Dont get me wrong, it was tame as far as blackmail goes but tamer than ghosting? I disagree.

Tong Tong specifically apologised for it and asked if Lin would forgive her and be friends. Lin Luxi agreed to that. In that extremely specific context, Lin was being a way bigger jerk. She could've just said "no, you blackmailed me, even if I forgive you I don't want to be friends with you". Even if that's not the real reason why she doesn't want to be friends, she had the most valid excuse possible to turn her down and didn't have to resort to ghosting someone who just apologised to her.

And Tongtong wouldn't been hurt that much? That hurt would've been the same.

you know it kinda annoys me how the mc thinks that she will fall in love with her if she stays by her side like ??? you can have friends without catching feelings, just because you are attracted to girls doesn't mean you are attracted to ALL girls but well this is a manhua,i want you to catch feelings

Wtf you're waffling? I mean she will know herself best or not??

This looks cute, but I've never really liked these long strip comics. I find them hard to read for some reason.

Same here. They always strike me as an excuse to get away with not doing proper page layouts.

Just as with traditional manga the way the panelling and composition draw the eye in this vertical format is an art unto itself. When utilized properly it flows incredibly well, particularly for action sequences, but like with traditional manga, only a few artists have really mastered how to properly integrate the structure of the media into synergizing with the flow and impact of their work.

Thanks. This got me thinking; that may have been one of the reasons I liked Fluttering Feelings so much.

The most annoying thing about the vertical format is all of the masterful art composition in the world is worth nothing if you can't get the thing to fit on your screen at the proper magnification that it's meant to be read at. I have a super widescreen laptop I use most of the time and I swear it fights me tooth and nail when it comes to trying to get these types of manhwa to display as the artist intended them to be read.

One of the good things about using a desktop, is that if you're spending an evening reading manga or comics, you can tilt your screen. The wider the screen the better

Long strip comics are best when its read all as one long page on a mobile device. These are designed for that, and my best experiences with long strip stuff is using mangadex on a tablet. I personally haven’td very many bad long strip comics, even slice of life still looks good and works well.

I read everything over my TV on my playstation.
I download Manga and long strips I read over a reader, where I can just scroll the whole thing on a big screen. It's great~

Okay, I don't really understand what's going on anymore. In the first chapter they barely knew each other, right? And since the last few chapters all take place right after they enter high school and meet for the first time, the first chapter should be chronologically after this. But then they seem closer now then in chapter 1, I am very confused

Can anyone explain?

They were holding hands and princess carry in Chapter 1

for me I didn't really feel like the ending was rushed. Would I have wanted more of their goofy shenanigans? Of course, and I feel like that's their only major sin for the manga. But I actually feel like the ending made sense.

Same

Sooo, I'm done with the Manga. The Character development was great, the story was good and the story-telling mature. I don't like it when the Story ends with the confession but in that kind of a story it didn't really matter, I guess. Sadly I still don't understand ace, I mean as long as both are happy it's good, what I don't understand is what the difference is between best friends and a ace-couple? I mean both love Fuuka too, so why couldn't she be included in the relationship? I'm still confused about Ace/Aro...

Isn’t subaru like 16? Idk about that age gap for all the Fuuka/Subaru shippers out there. I do hope that Fuuka can move on though, she deserves a relationship not based on obligation

Fuuka is almost 18

With this maybe Fuuka can finally move on.

Hmm what was Hinako expecting in the bed scene? She said she was disappointed but also relieved all she felt was some fluttering. Is it because she believed the feelings of love would be stronger, but was also scared it would be?

Nah, she was disappointed she didn't felt sexual desire but also relieved.

Zero interest in sexual acts. We can still have sex, we just don’t have desire for it.

I try hard to dig deep into how you can enjoys someting yet not have any desire for it, without being on the puritans side.

They said "have" not "enjoy". Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you enjoy it. Imagine eating a food that you are neutral for. You don't particularity love or even like it, but it's not like you hate or dislike it either. You're fully capable of eating it and filling your stomach with it, but you don't necessary enjoy eating it.

And that wouldn't feel empty/lonely for a non-ace partner?

Or she could be the rarely-if-ever portrayed asexual lesbian and being thrown off by the tired old love = sexual desire bullshit. As if romance has to involve sex.

The Puritans got your back.

Ya’ll really can’t understand the concept of someone not being horny all the time, sad

No, it's real easy to understand conceptually, but it is pretty hard to relate to. Though you can say the same thing for almost any category in the LGBT+ spectrum if you aren't also in the same category.

Sorry, I have nothing against Aro/Ace but I don't understand it conceptually. Especially not in a Asexual/not Asexual Partnership, I mean the not Ace part would still want to have sexual relation & I know ace ppl can still have sex but wouldn't it feel empty/lonely to be only one feeling it? Aro can I understand even less how that works in a romantic relationship...

Well... Here comes drama and lack of ideas.

But enough about you--what do you think of the story?

In on itself, this was an amazing roast, but it got even better when I read who you were replying to.

One of these days Loralei is going to post to say that a story is good and worth following, and the internet will crash.

I don't want to see that story tbh.
