Rly love this one. Also, first time I've seen the existence of homophobia addressed at all in a yuri manga.

It's not very common but there's a sizeable amount that do, to various degrees of seriousness.

Rly love this one. Also, first time I've seen the existence of homophobia addressed at all in a yuri manga.

Yuri Deadline opens with the high school MC running from home because of homophobia.

Green Tea Bitch: mother of one of the MCs is very homophobic.

Blue Star On That Day: nothing really explicit yet, but mentions of possible trouble, and side chars who'd probably say "gross" if they knew.

I Love The Villainess: Claire gets quickly called on a bit of homophobia; Rei's trans friend committed suicide due to transphobia.

Girl Friends: actually it's been too long so I'm not sure, but maybe?

A Face You Shouldn't Show: MC has been outed as WLW and it's destroying her career, and her partner is at risk too.

She Loves To Cook, She Loves To Eat

Moon On A Rainy Night

Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko!

How Do We Relationship?

My Dear Lass

When the Villainess Meets the Yandere

Li Zi and Nian Nian

Those are some other examples that I remember homophobia or least issues being accepted, fitting in, with friends and society, are things that come up. Though it's been a bit since I read some of those so I apologize if my memory is off at all.

The title of this manga is such a lie... Yarai is a great, fantastic girl and way more than just a pretty face!

Can we not have an argument in the forums for five minutes?

Oh hell no I'm here FOR the fighting

Love it too!

I'll throw my hat into the ring and say that: You can interpret Shouya's actions however you like because there's good evidence for whatever interpretation you'd like:
Sure, he's very kind & supportive in this chapter, that's good. But you can also remember that he entered this conversation expecting to be broken up with. To find out that his girlfriend is actually gay & is breaking up with him because she fell in love with another girl. It's not because he was pushy, it's not because he was a bad boyfriend, it's not because their personalities don't match - it's just because she's gay! No ego damaged, no pride hurt, no introspection necessary. Not every man reacts or thinks like this, but some do, it's human nature to try to protect our pride after all

So if you hated Shouya before, there's no reason to stop! And if you didn't, you can be happy that he's being so supportive!
Until we get more context or more characterization, all readers can be happy knowing that their opinion on this is both valid & plausible. hehe~

Thanks so much for mentioning Moon On A Rainy Night, I just finished reading it (it's on chapter 48.2 right now) and it's the best manga I've ever read.
