Yes!

^This.
As I've said on other threads, I have a straight, female friend who likes some of the yuri on this site. Though I personally am anything but straight.

Also, I dug up a link to a previous discussion that's closely related to this one: http://dynasty-scans.com/forum/topics/2222-yuri-fangirls

I can't tell if you're a troll or a really candid person (or a kid?)

That is probably the stupidest question I ever read.

Just after reading the "Born this way" oneshot, you question your "normality".

I'm just tempted to answer "no" to your question, but sarcasm don't get accross easily here.

Way to make someone feel like a idiot. Good job.

No need to be rude about it. =/

Of course, it's perfectly okay. Yuri is for anyone and everyone who enjoys it. :) Some of my online friends are straight girls who like to read/watch yuri manga/anime because they find the storylines generally more pure-hearted and cuter than other genres.

All kinds of people love yuri! One of the great things about the "community"(?) is how people of all genders, sexes, and orientations can come together to enjoy yuri.

Whatever makes you feel good...I say go for it!

As someone who's been agonizing a long time about her normality for a lot less trivial matters, I felt irritated.

I left her the benefit of the doubt, but come on, what type of answer would she expect here, out of all places? "You're not normal" ? She already has the answer before asking it.

And some people here play right into it.

I'm sorry to come accross as rude, but I'm not in the habit to sugarcoat, or keep to myself, what I genuinely think. Some people love me for that, some others dislike it, but I live with it, as well as with my alternate normality.

Why not? Is not like homosexuals can't read het (some can't read harem and that's wise) , so why wouldn't you be able to enjoy yuri?
You're straight, you like yuri... where the doubts comes from if you got your mind set?

Not everybody is the same though. And it really doesn't hurt to be a little compassionate. We all have questions about trivial matters, and we all ask dumb questions here and there or at least once in our life time. OP appears to be quite young judging by her post, so this could very possibly be a genuine question. And above all a lot of people struggle with their identity on a daily basis, so it's really not that great when someone asks a question that they've possibly been struggling with for a while and get a reply like that.

Oh, she was looking for compassion.

No, your like for these comics will force you to irrevocably lust after your own gender now, your fate has been sealed in this.

I thought about telling her she would catch the gay if she kept on reading it.

But I like to take the other paths. Because they are more interesting.

My whole life really.

Have you ever considered pinning the thread among the forum rules and the post format for future reference.. that would be hilarious, though I believe that won't be the last time someone asking this.. and I am for showing some understanding in answering since next time that particular person might be too cautious to ask a question for something that really bothers him :)

For your visual reference: tampon...
But it's recommended to first watch the actual thing though

I think it has to be said... my sister once asked what an ice cube was. At thirteen.

Asked if cats used phones and if wood burns too.

Feel lucky that you can consider this a stupid question.
