that's why I asked for his face

Well at least you were considerate enough to ask first but it's still not very polite to take peoples' faces.

RIGHT! I forgot to answer her, thanks Rye.

It don't matter if you're man or woman, straight or gay, curved or angular, pacific or atlantic, or anything else, if you like it read it, if someone don't like what you read that's their problem not yours, and if you don't want to be my friend and give me your facebook at least say it, don't ignore me...

Okay, I sleep a good night and this thread gets 5 more pages of nonsense. That's the Internet for you.

And I apologize to yuri_girl, because I guess the question was genuine (or she's a really good actress). Though I still think the question was dumb.

Every question sounds dumb to someone, somewhere. Doesn't mean they shouldn't be asked for fear of sounding dumb if you really wonder about it.

Heck, in my opinion, people who doesn't dare ask a "dumb" question, then try to sound like they actually know the answer when it's obvious they don't sounds way dumber. XD

I know right?! I come back and ...well... Wow.

Well, it's better than dealing with troll bait Nya. No need to be so rude/harsh/critical from the gates ya know ;)

But maybe this thread can be locked or whatever.. Turned kinda worthless.

I was about to name a bunch of porn sites JUST so I could name off something truly horrifying but naw, decided against it ;)

Better asking a dumb question to satisfy your curiosity than never discussing it out of fear of looking stupid.

This thread made me seriously lol haha. But thought I'd add in my two cents to the OP.

Like so many other people commented on here, of course, lol. Otherwise I'd be in serious trouble [aka straight girl as well :)]. That being said, I don't think it's a silly question...I mean, if people in RL are bound to question your sexuality if you bring it up, then it's only normal to think it's not "normal" for a straight gal to like it (especially if you're young).

Like others have said, I like it because it's ridiculously cute and more "innocent" than normal het stuff. On a more personal note, it also appeals to me because it adds another dimension to the whole overdone "girl-likes-boy-but-doesn't-want-to-ruin-friendship" or "boy-likes-girl-but-doesn't-think-he's-good-enough" tirade. I've read so much romance stuff since elementary school, and honestly the "normal" romance stuff got ridiculously boring/cliche after I'd read the same thing over. and over. and over again. By the time I got to college, I'd gotten so sick of it that I'd pretty much stopped reading altogether haha.

Indeed. It is all about being comfortable and secure with who YOU are and not letting societal norms and pressure dictate what you do and don't do.

Hear-hear... Though I still read the odd het romance every now and again but overall the genre is just... not that good and mostly very frustrating to down right horrifying at times. You're also forgetting the uber-douchey guy treats main girl like total crap and she STILL falls for him. People review those stories saying things like, "it's such a cute love story, he is so handsome, kind, and gentle!" I'm like, "No! He's an asshole and sexually assault her dozens of times. He should be arrested or have his head checked with a bat." Never understood how these stories get so popular. And it pains me to say it but, I'm like this, "boy-likes-girl-but-doesn't-think-he's-good-enough" to various degrees still. It's probably why I'm a sucker for underdog romances when I find 'em.
