Can we get the fanarts uploaded to the series page? I'm not sure exactly what the process is for that. Do we need to be some kind of trusted person before attempting?

Yes, it would be nice if the various fan art images and fan comics were added to the actual "official" images section for the series.

Right now, if I want to see the fan art posted so far... well, I pretty much have to just go through this 82-page-and-growing thread page by page. Which is terrible. Or because many are in my post history, which has far fewer pages, I can go through that instead. But still, not that ideal.

Are there "criteria" for an image to be in Dynasty's images section? It seems that they are simply images made by just anyone, whether it be the authors themselves or any fan. If so, then pretty much all the fan art posted so far qualifies?

If we can indeed go ahead and get the images uploaded, one thing I would really recommend is to make sure to get the highest quality and highest resolution version of the image that is available. I often see people upload/post/reblog/whatever smaller lower quality versions of images, which is unfortunate. So to whomever that will submit for upload or do the uploading of the images, please try to ensure that you are not getting a scaled down or "preview" version. For example, on Twitter or Tumblr, if you see an image, try clicking it to see if it opens a larger original version.

My headcanon for No-rae is that she wears underwear with childish prints on them. Remember the cartoon pear she had on her wall? Yep, she has a pair of panties with those on it.

Yes! YES! YESS!!

And she forgets that she has it on when things unexpectedly start turning intimate between her and Seol-a for the first time. When Seol-a catches sight of her underwear she starts giggling because it's cute but, No-rae is so embarrassed that she decides to go shopping with Seol-a next time to buy more attractive lingerie.

This sounds so awesome! The only thing is... it might really take a long while before it happens... We need a shortcut, an excuse for Seol-a to see No-rae in her underwear very soon xD Like.. I don't know... Spilled juice at the party's already been used... They could still go shopping for something Seol-a needs, but then she'll see something that No-rae will just have to try on because it'll be so good on her. And then Seol-a will get her nose in the cabin too early as smoothly as she always does it with a 'let me help you undo your bra'. And ta-da! No-rae's standing there half-naked holding the bra in her hands and getting red as a tomato! 'Oh my! Are you OK? Do you have a fever?' asks Seol-a, 'Let me listen to your pulse!'
nah, someone stop me. I'm getting too carried away xDDD

so I am away for few days to come back with pages filled with ....@@
Seriously, am I the only one NOT happy with FF turning into a hentai all of a sudden with these fan arts? !.
Perhaps it is the nature of this manhwa which has been based on feelings of passion and pure love of two girls just happy for now being together that made such big transition in these fan arts a bit of shocking for me.
This is not the manhwa I liked and I am a bit disappointed of those fans who gave such totally different picturing of a story that is totally revolving in another dimension. The way I pictured those two when they finally express their love, I imagined moments filled with slow, gentle touch and every movement that just express how much they deeply loved each other, in a momentum similar to the story and its natural development.

Well, for the actual story I am quite certain it really will play out like that.

Perhaps the Korean fans are just getting sexually frustrated with how long it's going to take to get to that point.

@ Lara 77

You're perfectly entitled to your opinion. I'll just direct you to my thoughts on this which I made in this post.

Even though that post was in reply to someone who was joking, I kind of knew that there would be people who would in fact be "offended" by these pictures. Again, perfectly fine, we all have different sensibilities.

I personally do not think that those pictures portray them being overly "rough" with each other. Nobody's holding someone down forcibly or continuing despite the other's protests or other stuff of the sort, which I personally am not a huge fan of but is in fact really common in NSFW manga art. Also, I am not assuming that those images are portraying their first time together; if it were their first time, then indeed, it would likely be rather slow, gentle and probably a bit awkward. Rather, I am assuming that these scenes are at a point well into their relationship. But if you were to tell me that these scenes are meant to occur right after chapter 34, then that'd be a very different story.

So basically, I personally find those drawings to be in good taste. Definitely NSFW, mind you, but tasteful. Your mileage may vary.

Also, I found the image that anonymous was previously referring to that they did not post. I am also not going to post it because it was definitely is not tasteful. However, it was helpful for me to see what anonymous meant when they(he, she?) say "good taste" and I must agree that these images are different.

@ Alextasha

Randomly, I noticed (don't ask how) that your images are ever so slightly smaller than the originals.

Compare:

http://s1.postimg.org/43md2fsnz/image.png (yours)
http://i.imgur.com/JfhNnk9.jpg (from original)

http://s1.postimg.org/cn5r0710f/image.png (yours)
http://i.imgur.com/UN3oPrC.jpg (from original)

So I assume you took screen captures rather than saving the pictures, am I right?

If so, then I assume you did so because you clicked the image to view the image full size in a lightbox, but in the lightbox, there was no way to right-click the image to save? (Because there are multiple images in that post, so the whole image is a click target to go to the previous or next image.)

If that is indeed the reason, then you can do this instead.

Go to the page of the post: https://twitter.com/ahndory/status/592558885740748801
But don't open the lightbox.
Instead, for each of the two images, right-click on it, then open in new tab.
You should get these two:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CDkxKoYUMAAU4pP.jpg
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CDkxKmIUkAEtU4Z.jpg

For good measure, you should add ":large" at the end of it, because those might be the smaller resized versions (though not in this case).

So the final URLs for full-size images:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CDkxKoYUMAAU4pP.jpg:large
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CDkxKmIUkAEtU4Z.jpg:large

Funny you mention this because I just went to Tumblr and lo and behold someone had reposted my FF artwork (without credit, I might add) in a much smaller resolution than the original. facepalm

I really like this idea. I could actually see it working and being a legitimate excuse for Seol-a to accidentally see what type of embarrassing underwear No-rae wears. XP

I normally don't come up with my own headcanons but for FF, headcanons make the most fun fan art ideas. lol.

I'm not unhappy with it but, I do understand where you're coming from. It initially surprised me, since I was among those who seriously couldn't picture Seol-a and No-rae in an explicit manner due to the innocent nature of FF's storyline. Of course now I can imagine it after seeing them in a new light.

But, I think that's the nature of fan art. Some will draw them "in-character", while for others it's a form of wish fulfillment and they'll depict interactions that we probably will never see in the actual manhwa.

Ooh, Seol-a looks cool in that SFW sketch! Though she also seems to be intensely inspecting No-rae's hair. haha.

Yeah, seriously.

OK, I get it, they don't want to "merely" reblog your original post (which is source-linked back to the original post), because a reblog won't be prominent enough, e.g., won't show up in feeds/tag searches since it's not the original post.

So instead, they effectively duplicate the post, i.e., create a new blog post (not source-linked back to the original post, of course) and put that content in manually. OK, fine. They've got their "new" post. But why not put the URL of your original post? Or hell, just frickin' mention your name. What possible reason could they possibly have to not do at least that?! I mean, don't they consider how if people like the image, people may want to know where it came from and perhaps find more similar stuff from that author/artist?

Nope! Screw this "giving proper credit" nonsense. It's all about the views, baby!

Just awful.

And now, a prophecy by our grandma:

An anonymous user asked:

Do you think there is a chance we could see a kiss on the mouth in Fluttering Feelings? Or are we gonna just see the shadow of No-rae and Seol-a holding hands? (already sad face)

halmoni:

The most physical Seolrae moment you’ll ever see in FF is Hee-jin talking about how No-rae’s hand brushed against Seol-a’s hand while they walked to school. That’s it. And it’s going to happen in chapter 429. So buckle your seatbelts and prepare your HEART FOR SOME FLUTTERIN FEELINGS

Why yes, you do have to be a trusted person. More specifically, you have to be me! ^^

Are there "criteria" for an image to be in Dynasty's images section? It seems that they are simply images made by just anyone, whether it be the authors themselves or any fan. If so, then pretty much all the fan art posted so far qualifies?

We have a rather subjective measure of quality that determines what can or can't go up. I think everything I've seen would qualify. We also prefer to have the artist's explicit permission when possible.

If we can indeed go ahead and get the images uploaded, one thing I would really recommend is to make sure to get the highest quality and highest resolution version of the image that is available. I often see people upload/post/reblog/whatever smaller lower quality versions of images, which is unfortunate. Absolutely! We've made a few mistakes with this in the past, but so long as the images are from a common source I'm familiar with (see: not weibo), that shouldn't be any issue. Of course if for some reason it is, just leave a comment and we'll fix it!

Thank you for your work in collecting them, by the way! bows

Now! Time to start digging through the thread and compiling a list...

That's really strange.

Then my bad for assuming that. I guess I made that assumption because I myself was struggling with Twitter's crappy interface to save those images. (Apologies to those who like Twitter's crappy interface. :3 )

@ OrangePekoe

Thanks for all the info.

OrangePekoe:

Thank you for your work in collecting them, by the way! bows

Jeez, lol. My "work" is really nothing compared to the work of the fan content creators and scanlators.

OrangePekoe:

Now! Time to start digging through the thread and compiling a list...

Can't say I envy that job, lawl, given that AFAIK, this is one of the largest threads on this forum.

One more thought:

I'd be nice if the forum had a "source" feature for images, especially for images made by fans.
For example:
http://dynasty-scans.com/images/3198
There is no way to know where that image came from. (In this example, it's art by the author of the series, which makes it far easier to find, but suppose that this was fan art.)
The most you could do is click on the "Author: AUTHOR-NAME" tag, then go to the author's page, which has a link to his/her site at the top... sometimes.
But still no way to have a direct link to the original blog post or Pixiv page or Weibo page or whatever.
I guess the simplest workaround is that any one of us can post the source URL in a comment.

Surely there are others who do more work, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the efforts of the people in this thread who are helping to turn Fluttering Feelings into a series with a very nice community :)

If I'm understanding you correctly, you want the images section to allow for a source button, or something similar? There's already one, though it's a bit hidden. In the top right corner, like here:

Click the "Source" button and it'll bring you right to the original posting. (Though in this case it seems like the original posting was removed at a later date -.-;)

One of the things the site is lacking sometimes is a real sense of design. So if you have some suggestion to improve its visibility, please fire away!

Ah, I forgot about that button. That's just plain weird, because I actually now remember having used that button before.

I agree that it is slightly hidden/not obvious. I guess I expected to see a URL text link, much like the link on the author pages.

Agree. I feel the design of the site is very minimalistic but at the same time, completely functional. There is pretty much zero clutter; the fact that this site does not serve ads certainly also helps. And I've already mentioned before elsewhere that the left/right click of the reader makes helluva lot of sense. So all in all, I don't have many complaints about the reader.

I have a few suggestions of improvements for the forum, but they're fairly minor. I already mentioned a couple in the suggestions thread (usernames when quoting and permalinks in post history and elsewhere).

This isn't even the first time that its happened. And in both instances it was reposted in crappy quality.

I could understand it if they don't know where the original came from because maybe they saved it off of the blog that reposted my artwork first. But, still... the artist in me dies a little inside whenever I see my work without credit and in such a tiny resolution.

I don't even care that I'm not the one who reposted it. Since I'm not trying to become internet famous. lol. If it's getting views regardless, then I'm happy since I drew it for FF fans to enjoy. It mainly saddens me that they're not getting the best quality of it.
