^^ the ‘yuri’ only occurs in the manga, and really only comes into play in any stretch after something like 70 truly cringeworthy chapters (that’s a positive for what watamote goes for). The yuri is mostly subetext, but it’s pretty blatant at points and there’s plenty for artists to feed off. Ucchi in particular at least has an official canon interest in tomoko, and tomoko herself is bi.
Read the Manga. It starts as the same cringe comedy the anime is, but slowly develops into one of those "how gay can we make this before we have to rebrand" type series.
