My understanding is that those are pen names, and they're not related. Tomo is Towa's assistant, I think

^Back page says Tomo did art, Towo wrote the script - & it would seem strange for Tomo to be the assistant - at least on the reader they have like 15x as much work.

Nah, I actually love Love Lab. It’s hilarious and the dynamic of the characters is great. I kinda wish Maki and Riko would’ve ended up together, but it’s still an awesome anime.
