That, uh... was not in the chapter though? When she said she 'had such requests herself' she meant that she, as an assassin, had received jobs wherein a person put out a hit on themself; not that she, as a suicidal person, had put a hit out on herself. I concede the language of that phrase alone could be taken ambiguously, but the rest of the page made the context for the statement seem clear enough to me.
Her complaints about such client/targets trying to change their minds could probably use quotation marks though.
