Late to the discussion, but I'll add my extra Little opinion on this "MHA female" stuff, and although I couldn't care less about the "sexualization" and I don't find "they don't get enough screen time" as much of a bother, I DO think certain characters' death are pretty unsatisfactory.

Can't be a coincidence that all three of those deaths are for women.

I only read the manga now, but I think even anime watchers would know who I'm talking about.

And yes, since I'm mostly a Yuri enjoyer, the fan content gives me the most pleasure now, even though I still think the original manga is really good despite what I just mentioned.

I recently gave the whole Dirty Pair saga a watch and man, I already miss them … genuinely half the episodes feel like the written-but-unspoken conclusion is just, “We should just date each other” . Genuinely highly recommend it for anyone interested and the OP/ED are incredible.
