Why do all the series I discover this month get axed immediately? Did I get cursed

Don't worry it's not you. This series was axed months ago. Translation was just catching up.

What I don't understand is why they delayed the release of volume 2 to after the series ended. Was vol 1 sales so bad that they gave up right away?

Bah, is obviously want to be a longer story but get stopped, i kind of worried for the author...

This axe hurts.

This mangaka art style is one of my favourite,false marigold is stunning ; I can understand that "business is business" but god damnit.

Let's hope the next work of his hits big and maybe we also get an anime.

The world of manga doesn't work like that lol They are paid for manuscript, contrary to what people believe, it's one of the worst paid works, manuscript for yuri and bl are one of the lowest. If for example your manga gets turned into a movie or anime, mangakas are paid a license fee. Basically, they do not receive constant payments. Also, quite funny that people always bring up het or yaoi and not like seinen or shonen, which are better pay and sell far more. There is a interview with the creator of Kaguya-sama about this, and even he is underpaid. It’s similar to animators.

Again I don’t know if this one was trully axed, but assuming it was, yes I suppose it didn’t sell, it was published in a online seinen magazine, there are other yuri there like Kaguhara's Fetish Notebook, but most of the stuff in that magazine has ecchi, maybe he would have had better luck in Yuri Hime, but he has never worked in a Yuri magazine

Thats so cute though. They wrote their hidden real names, right? And not their school names? So sweet.

It's a crime this one was axed. Kudos to the author for their creativity and avoiding many typical tropes in school life stories. Setting the story in a school for orphans and, assigning each student a character/role were both innovative, IMO.

OK wtf. You can't just drop that bombshell on the last page and call it quits.

I hate how common it is for new series to get insta-axed if they don't make infinite money on day 1.

Setting the story in a school for orphans and, assigning each student a character/role were both innovative, IMO.

Opapagoto did a similar thing way back when.

Would be cool if the author got to keep the characters and continue the story on their own terms like it happened for Princess of Sylph, but I guess that's a special case

Now the school is just trolling...
