^From what I know the upcoming movie this blonde Supergirl is from is pulling from the graphic novel “Woman of Tomorrow”. Where Supergirl does indeed go to planets with a red sun so she can get drunk. In the graphic novel she does it because she’s struggling with the weight of her past, and I hope the upcoming movie includes that. So far the movie Supergirl has been presented as a party girl.

Also I definitely recommend reading “Woman of Tomorrow”! It’s heavy but great.
