Can't say I really like this one of Asagi's. I'm a fan of I Fell in Love For the First Time and I Want to be Honest, but it's only the first chapter so I'll put this on the back burner until some more comes out for it, then give it all a long read.

Let's not forget that this is before she has been "warned" about the senpai, and knew anything about her intentions. And as for how the story unfolds, I still interpret it as the senpai taking advantage of a much less powerful and inexperienced girl. It doesn't matter whether her intentions were "I'm gonna sex her up" from the start or not. (Which I actually think she was set out to do.)

You might find it tiring, I find it wonderfully reliable and consistent. I know what I'm after when I read Asagi Ryuu, and it is always faithfully and dependably delivered:

A) hot, beautifully drawn yuri sex which invariably grows into a happy romance, where the sex is

I must disagree on this part! Some stories have bad ends (The Rites of the Moon Princess, that untranslated one which ends in marriage for the MCs love interest), and some stories are just sex without any kind of romance at all. (This chapter amongst others.)

C) a seasoning of harmless fetishes, some I like ("body size gap" would be a better way to put it than "age gap" in this and several other cases), some I regard as a guilty pleasure (saliva trails), and some I merely tolerate (watersports).

While I do like some of Asagi's fetishes, I wouldn't really call watersports "harmless." I think that one can scare a handful of readers away from his works. (Specially as the liquids he draws looks really... thick... in my eyes. Sometimes it's like the girls urinate gelatin.)

Personally I adore the way he draws fleshy bodies. I mean, look at the way those fingers disappear in her thighs:

And... watersports... isn't too bad...

In a world where reading yuri all too often contains unpleasant surprises, whether we're talking bad relationship endings or sexual elements that you didn't want, I value Asagi Ryuu's work for always being what I expect it to be.

I might have gotten involved in the yuri scene way later than you have, but I very, very seldom find elements like those in what I read. I feel that I can afford disliking stories even if they're void of sexual elements I dislike and the girls get together.

As for Asagi, I love his art, but not his stories. If I am looking to read a story that I'd like, I wouldn't consider him. If I was just looking for great looking art (or just porn) to drool at, then he is a valid option.

There are many, many more wonderful stories and works to enjoy now than we had in the years (and years and years...) past. It's natural that you would have a different view.

Of course. Who said anyone would automatically like a story just because it got over those two very basic hurdles? A story can fulfill those basic requirements and still be bad, boring, or annoying. Even so, I find Asagi Ryuu's work quite enjoyable in general. As Phyis said, it might only be porn, but it is above average on the whole.

I really wouldn't say that either. Like has been mentioned a couple times by this point, a number his works like "I Fell in Love for the First Time" and "I Want to be Honest" can definitely be enjoyed for their romantic content. Asagi is less consistent than I'd like him to be (though still on the level very much enjoyable), but the art has never been the only factor for why I've enjoyed works from him.

The problem for me was that yeah, this time I didn't feel all that much romance from this chapter. But I share Cryssoberyl's optimism towards the later chapters, in any case. I don't feel the writing for this story has been deficient for anything else, in this regard.

yes, 2 sweet, fun and easy to read stories that i liked too, but , for me, a interesting story must have a bit of drama, at last, and anyway, also for these stories, the better part wasn't the writing or the plot, perhaps the characterization of the protagonists, and the nsfw parts have always a lot of space to display the great drawing skill of the artist, especially about fluids and/on woman's bodies

Hm. Can't say I enjoyed this one. Asagi's a good artist, and he can tell a decent story if he tries (I really liked 'I Fell in Love for the First Time'), but he seems to be focusing more and more solely on his fetishes, none of which I find all that appealing. Oh, I wanted more to show that the senpai's intent seems wicked from the start... well, atleast to me it does. And wait a minute now. Where does the "rape" line go? I mean, if we look directly at the next page, she has pushed the kouhai down and is still fidgeting on her sex. Am I deluded thinking this counts as sex between women? Start of sex? (As in, a little bit more than molestation.) As the kouhai does NOT give any consent at all, this just... feels rapey to me, for the lack of a better word. As for the rest of the story I just can't get the foul taste of the senpai taking advantage of the kouhai out of my mouth.

Eh? That was the only part of the series that I ever enjoyed. I really liked the first chapter, and the second chapter when I just closed my eyes every time the words "incest" or "sister" appeared in text. (And isn't "being in love" reason enough to have sex? Do I just imagine there being romance in those chapters?) However, the other chapters I completely disliked. (Except maybe for the last couple that was introduced.)

well, i can say i understand your feeling since i'm also have the same ocd for my yuri manga collection.

This first chapter is indeed strange without any story plot, let's just hope it's gonna develop more in the upcoming chapters. And I have a feeling right from the start that Sara has a loose screw in her head.
