Um, doesn't look like there's really a storyline in this book. I know it's 200 pages book but just looks like it's just going to be a hentai with a weird nonsense storytelling to put in the sex. It made no sense for them to do it. I'm a bit disappointed even if it's the first chapter and nothing is clear yet. I really like this artist.

Read the raws long time ago, but didn't know really well what they were saying. Now, after reading it in English, I am more perplexed as to what's going on.

The story isn't that hard to grasp. I didn't think yuri fans of all people would be this utterly thrown of track by a bit of subtext.

Haha. I do have to say his art has improved though. The girls in this are super cute, even the background characters. Sure the plot is almost retarded (older girl randomly molests younger girl but younger girl gets into it) but I don't mind a bit of dumb smut, even if Asagi Ryu's done better stuff before (he's also done worse). I think the art is pretty amazing thus far, in any case, so I'm glad to see something new from him.

Thanks to YuriProject for the release! An Asagi Ryu project is always something to see.

I think Asagi wanted to be poetic in this piece, but couldn't grasp the poetic element well.

there's a lot of film and book out there with less plot than this, and without art, poetic or sex to make up for that,

i remember shojo sect, an other manga with a lot of characters, couple, side stories, with a lot of poetic and metaphoric meanings, without a strong plot, but an absolute masterpiece.

Well in all honesty, I don't think Shoujo Sect was that great. It was OK, but I really wouldn't call it a masterpiece. But please do not take what I'm saying in a wrong way. It is just my opinion and all opinions do not coincide, does it? Ahahaha...

Maybe I have the advantage of hindsight because I actually did read the entire book already but there is a plot, there are a lot of emotions and neither are that difficult to grasp. The thing is, Asagi has always used the artwork - facial expression, gestures, symbolism - to convey a lot of subtext and this is even more true here. Now, don't get me wrong. It's not a literary masterpiece full of subtlety but it's also not the usual dumb on-the-nose porn we usually get dealt so maybe that's the problem.

I didn't really like it. It was a bit messy and sloppy. Eh, I'll read the other chapters when they come out anyway.

Sara being the younger cousin, Itsuki the older one, and Miharu the girl who got molested. Yeah, I can definitely see the subtext/plot elements being set up as far as Sara is concerned but I did feel that Itsuki and MIharu's sexual connection was kinda crazy. Not knowing anything about the story I would have leaned more towards Sara x Miharu right now but since you said Sara's kinda screwed up I guess I'll be looking forward to it (lol) :P. In any case I don't really have any problems with the story; really appreciate the work and I'm definitely enjoying/looking forward to more from this series.

You might find it tiring, I find it wonderfully reliable and consistent. I know what I'm after when I read Asagi Ryuu, and it is always faithfully and dependably delivered:

A) hot, beautifully drawn yuri sex which invariably grows into a happy romance, where the sex is
B) mostly vanilla with a pleasing emphasis on intimately direct body to body contact - fingers, tongues, and tribbing, instead of toys, which I find impersonal - but enlivened by
C) a seasoning of harmless fetishes, some I like ("body size gap" would be a better way to put it than "age gap" in this and several other cases), some I regard as a guilty pleasure (saliva trails), and some I merely tolerate (watersports).

In a world where reading yuri all too often contains unpleasant surprises, whether we're talking bad relationship endings or sexual elements that you didn't want, I value Asagi Ryuu's work for always being what I expect it to be.

... I know that, I just happened to read it because I keep tabs on his work. Maybe the comment should have been written more like constructive criticism, but whatever. Sorry bout that.

The only baseless generalization was the thing about his "dedication to his fetishes," which I suppose I should have left out, but everything else was either my opinion or my observation of Asagi's work as a whole.
