I don't think it's too surreal, they do have a really close relationship in the side stories on DDLCPlus (Which is also an AU that happend in the game)

Man, I really want to replay DDLC, especially with Plus released. I bought it the day it released but I'm not sure my heart can really handle playing the game again.

What the hell this is so cute! I've only played the original VN and had no idea there was an expansion full of yuri. I probably ignored this when it was first uploaded to Dynasty and only caught it now that someone put it up on e-hentai lol.
