Agreeeed, manga was a whole ass W all around. Progress is steady. If anyone read this and got the idea that things are going to stay the same for Japanese society, the workplace they're at, or even just for Hiroko and Ayaka themselves, they completely lack critical thinking skills. Life is not utopian, relationships aren't perfect, and people are messy. Sal Jiang made a fantastic piece.

Glad to see someone else as excited by the conclusion with Risa, what a cute couple x.x

I also appreciate how when the bar patrons found out that the biggest player in the bar was dating Risa their collective reaction was "IF YOU HURT HER SO HELP US..."

Risa got tenderly loved. That's all I wanted out of this.

Anyway, really loved this manga from beginning to end for sure, it was a big roller coaster and I'm really happy that these girls could just... finally relax lmao, they absolutely deserve it. I'll be happily waiting for what Sal Jiang is prepping up next, it'll surely be a blast.

Well, sal jiang has done it, they made me root for Hiroko. I started hating this series and ended up loving it, it became just such a complex showcase of emotions with so many social implications and character growth.. I love it and I think everyone should check it out, alright goodbye

Great story and had a very enjoyable read! Hiroko was probably my favorite the entire way through. Wish we got a better look into their life together outside of work but, oh well! Great ending.

(P.S. We all know Ayaka got Hiroko that night)

Finally caught up with this! And I really love it. Beautiful ending to a surprisingly emotional ride. I'm also glad that we at least got some sort of closure on Chinatsu-senpai as well.

Definitely one of my favorites!

Their promo shots looked good and I saw them in a video and it sealed the deal. Never in a million years would I have guessed. I follow the mangaka and she seemed pretty quiet once the manga wrapped up outside of a few one shots, but I guess this was brewing the whole time.

More of the cast have been revealed. I assume those are the main cast but there should still be several more minor named characters yet.

The live action series seems to be doing really well. It's up to episode 3, very gay, and they are taking extra attention to detail like having rl lesbian influencers be including in the bar scene and the mangaka and actress attending a panel at PIAMY Fes. Sal seems to be having a good time with it all and happy with how it's been adapted.

There is going to be a pop up at Shibuya and also online (international proxy) for the show and the manga.

A great series being rewarded with a faithful adaptation is always a fantastic thing. Glad this is happening for Sal especially. They're definitely excited on Twitter at least.

Loved the first two episodes, the actor playing Hiroko is killing it. I love how over the top a bunch of the scenes of Ayaka feeling frustrated over her coworkers paying attention to Hiroko and crowding her out are, when the one with the phone chest mounting thing happened I figured it had to be a dream sequence but nah, Ayaka's unique perspective on the world just makes shit come across as cartoonish lol

Thanks for that. Really interesting interview! Definitely an interesting start but a good idea for a writer, being so open to and seeking out criticism. Her work definitely has a unique feel to it. Her premise are always especially fresh but the execution is what stands out as uniquely hers. Doesn't surprise me that she takes inspiration from many places, or that she doesn't get her ideas from manga or anime. Her stuff has always operated on its own wavelength to me.
