Yeah, Doctor_Hoot, I'm pretty sure VPedge was saying that in a "veteran Gundam fan to newbie Gundam fan" way, not a "insufferable rightist to anyone they deem liberal" way.
saying this as someone who will only start watching this after this semester's finals are over and has never watched any Gundam before. and as someone who has a distaste for insufferable rightists to say the least, and one that said rightists would probably call a liberal and/or commie.

I know Gundam is a franchise with a lot of harsh aspects, regardless though I personally want the main couple to succeed in spite of that.

@BV yes I wasn't actually honestly mocking anyone tbh I just find all the newer fan reactions interesting tbh the part was abit more shocking then usual gundam shows atleast to most AU stuff
