Man that 'Best Friends' part rlly bothered me totaly... It just sounds so wrong for them..Lovers would have fit so much better but Duh! Well still liked it after all KyouSaya will always gonna be cute whatever form of love it is

Depends. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. But whether or not it's subtext in this scenario, it's still clearly a love story about Kyouko and Sayaka (as well as Homura and Madoka).

It's just when people say things like "Not Yuri" because it's subtext that pisses me off. Subtext == yuri. Just because it's subtext does not mean it's any less of a love story if the subtext is intentional. Plus, if you think about it, your lover is also your closest and best friend. If it's not, then your relationship is either very young or not fully invested

Fair point. If this was a dialogue script I'd agree. But the actions and reactions and interactions between Kouko and Sayaka screamed romantic intention to me. Plus, considering their pasts (which you can't discount), I think it's a little clearer. So I disagree, but again, fair point.

(i like this author a lot, but this one is probably one of my least favourites with the whole best friends shtick. its still very cute though)
