There's new girls in town, not from niji or holo but they come strong!
Oh, right, idol. The ad for them popped up in my recs a few weeks ago, but I'd totally forgotten about it by the time they actually debuted. The agency is Israeli, but I'm not sure anyone in EN is
They seem to have an Idol-EN group, as linked, and also a Idol-HE group, which I guess is idol-Hebrew generation one, (no hebrew/Israeli naming or theming(?) ), but a very scientific quick check of 10 seconds of a random game video on each of their channels had all of them speak english (less well than the EN) in all of those quick checks.
But Holo/Niji ID also speak english for the majority of time.
Their very first announcement https://idol-company.com/432-1/ already has a line about "We have received and seen concern from members of the online community about comments and replies in our announcement video that contain themes of racism and hatred towards the affiliation of the group." so I doubt it's going to end well.
They have a blurb on their webpage about
"We care about our talents.
From mental health to growth strategies we help our talents achieve the dream of becoming a full-time VTuber as part of our commitment to change VTubing industry standards
Talents Get The Bigger Cut
We are proud to have one of the highest paying contracts in the industry.
Personal support
Our talent mental health is our first priority, our goal is to be there for our talents 24/7.
Expenses coverage
From video games, to professional studio equipment. We will pay most of your streaming expenses."
(and more)
but the HE-generation has about 6K subscirbers apiece after half a year, so even if they walk the walk it probably doesn't matter.
EN Gen is at 10-14K in less than a week, so I hope it works for them, as I hope it works for any vtuber.
