Yeah, I'd only gotten up to 5/5 when I posted that. Looking at 8.5, assuming it's not just an awkward translation then transsexuality seems the clear reading.

Niu's a boy! Thas cute! Most likely the only way that Niu can be under the care of Miu and the school since I think its an all girls school? I see the author is throwing in some side yaoi, thats cool with me as long as they keep the yuri center stage.
