A couple of comments about the "straight girl turns gay after meeting a butch" trope: this does happen in real life, famously to Elvira and her 19-year partner. And what we're shown in this story, of Kobayashi repeatedly rejecting guys and trying to find the perfect one is actually.. pretty common for people who don't realize they're lesbians yet! Anyway, I don't care if she's mostly straight and realized a part of herself because of the handsome woman. Boy was Akira drawn handsomely, and the embarrassment of getting caught knocking down Kobayashi's whole act was very compelling. The cigarette kiss is great because it is spontaneous. Akira can't pass up the opportunity to respond to Kobayashi's feelings even though she's smoking, and then she quickly pulls back so that the memory of it compounds in Kobayashi's mind until she decides what to do about it.

I appreciate how hard they worked to translate and edit every single sound effect. That gotta have been redrawing hell.

... I'm however a bit baffled by "Puff" in page 17, what's that supposed to be a sound effect for?

I loooooove Yorumo. Ever since I read Brighter Than a Lightstick (Encore) back in Oct. 2021, I've been looking forward to their work! As I love their art, characters, and stories.

Also, really hoping that we do get a sequel to this one-shot bc I just keep re-reading it! I keep trying to imagine the kind of conversations they had working together and when they had dinner together afterward! I wanted to see more dialogue and interactions between the two!

Akira's giving her a lot of what she obviously looks for from men. She's a real femme, and she insists her girlfriend will be very tomboyish. Not that she realises any of this consciously.

"I'll be the boy, and you won't even have to pretend to be helpless and clumsy. Deal?" is what Akira is promising.
