Compare the mangaka's name with the original.

Which is why I was saying what the hell, given this is so far out of character from one of my very favourite yuri mangas, yet is not marked as a doujin or is apparently complete (were there only ever two pages? was there an error uploading? ) plus the general pointlessness of it.

And seriously, WTF is up with Hotei-san's neck in that first panel?

Edit: Ahh, now it's named a doujin. Okay. The rest still stands though.

I guess someone was unhappy because Ebisu and Hotei wasn't explicit enough in canon.

What's weird is just a couple of days ago I was thinking I'd really loved to see them have one honest kiss between them.

And even here there isn't one!

Well I loved the original even without a proper kiss but I'd be lying if i said I didn't want it to happen. Unfortunately for me anyway this kind of irritated me. The art is good I would say you can clearly recognize them if you've read the original and it's not bad at all but this imo took away from what made the original as loveable as it was. I'd like to see another extra story for these two just truer to the original characters.

i don't like when in DJs they try to copy the drawing style of the original this much,

and ebisu to hotei was a perfect story, i'd never have the courage to draw a DJ about such a masterpiece

Well this escalated quickly.

That seemed utterly out of character. This is one of the reasons I really dislike the idea of doujins in general. All too often the person writing it doesn't have an adequate understanding of the characters' personalities and makes them do things they wouldn't normally do.

I think the point is they've been together romantically and sexually for a while now, enough to reference the wifey "dinner, or bath ... or me?!" thing. I am guessing Hana is with her mom or at that friend's house, and quite possibly Ebisu had a drink on the way back. The art was all over the place. The middle panel of page 1 was a good ebisu. The last panel on page 2 was a passable Hotei. But even the proportions on the rest remind me of Mego's face-centered manga in Koba Cute. Ebisu-san to Hotei-san is aggressively old-school in not showing the girl-girl action. There needs to be more doujins about it, but preferably with a plot. We all know they were kissing on the couch, for instance.Hotei-san is so happy being Ebisu's wife it's almost Wife and Wife territory.

I have a small hunch that this mangaka wanted to see these two fuck. Not too sure yet, but I’m onto something.
