That'd be going a little far IMO. First season is great and pretty much every minute of it is produced like a romance. Just ignore everything else.

^^^^ I mean that basically what the hang out events are, at least some of them. Noelle's is pretty overtly romantic, and some of her lines about attracting people change depending on if you play as Lumine or Aether.
