The joke is that the guard thinks they just did lewd things in there, because the Emperor's wife just came out of her office with blushing cheeks, a big smile, messy hair and methaphorical sparkles. When in actuality, they're just wholesome AF.

Pretty sure they just added an easy mode but it is rather unnecessary seeing as like most Castlevania Metrodvanias the difficulty drops off entirely when you find the right equipment.
