Yea, it was confusing me as well. It was clearly a mistake. Just wasn't sure which way, but I did think it increases it. It makes sense after all since skill is so good. It had to have some kind of drawback.

No. All operators have skills that would count as special moves, but they're nothing like NPs. It's tower defense after all.

Lol. I'm not E2 any 5-6 stars anytime soon. Those mats requirements are brutal.

^ they really are. Thankfully events usually give out loads of mats for free or maps have better drops than regular story.

Unrelated but since I got sleepy angel now, I want to take a minute to appreciate the sleepy squad. I put Durin in the lmb map to take out the thicc bois and she actually takes them out pretty quickly and efficiently with Sora's help but still.

It's just a typo, pretty common in chinense games for some reason. We might actually get free 20 sanity because of it, like in AL. Classic Yostar.

After like, 100+ rolls with 3 Aaks, 3 Hungs, and some other miscellaneous 5 stars, I finally got my Nian. Now I just need to farm LMD and exp cards to elite 2 her today ^^

Edit: Annnnd done. Her E2 art looks so cool too.

Another set of single rolls. I dropped Nightmare, who is really cute and she seems interesting. Also beat AF-5 and 6. 5 was easy af. In fact I totally forgot about lone melee tile, so I kept spamming snipers to protect device from breaking. If I had remember about it, it'd be even easier. Honestly all you need to do is protect device once you drop it to stop bombers. My sniper harem came in handy again. AF-6 gave me some trouble. I had setup figured out, but despite theoretically having roughly the same amount of DPS, 1 side was killing bullies much slower, which resulted in Gummy dying during wave 2. After dozen of attempts I finally noticed that for some unyurily reason Frostleaf S1 deals physical damage instead of arts... After switching her to Mousse, I beat it on first try. Also probably wouldn't beat it without Ifrit. She really was tailor-made for this map. Checked out AF-7, but will leave it for tomorrow. It looks interesting and I have already some ideas how to approach it. BTW. I didn't try any challenge modes yet, but outside of bonus rules I assume enemies are stronger in general?

Yeah, all enemies have a slight increase in stats and you can't let anyone pass into your base at all in addition to whatever special conditions the individual maps have.

Nope, the only penalty for an operator dying mid-level is that it costs a bit more DP to redeploy them (and if you fail/beat the level the DP cost goes back to normal, you lose nothing for having an operator die)

The part where Nian hypes up her sister is interesting. I expect her sister to be another limited op in the future. More importantly, that talk about the Abyss.... really makes you think. A story event on the abyss is my second most wanted event story, second only to a Rhine Lab event story. So many questions with little answers.
