I don’t necessarily agree with this; there have been multiple times where I’ve gotten more then one 5/6* operators through my first ten pulls on a banner.

That was completely through luck. The 5* guarantee kicks in if you're on your tenth roll and haven't gotten a 5* or 6* yet. It doesn't increase the rates for ten rolls or anything like that. There is no benefit to using ten rolls except to save time and because sometimes that's the type of headhunting permit they gave. It can be a disadvantage if you're only trying to roll a 5*, get a 5* three rolls in let's say, and the other seven rolls in the 10-roll no longer have any guarantee, so those are seven rolls you could have used on the next banner.
