I don't know anything about Pretty Rythm, but the art sure is nice.

it's a show that's kind of like aikatsu. it's basically idols and singing + figure skating. bell and otoha are side characters in the show. you shouldn't watch it for the yuri though because the hetero tension in there is really high (the idols spend more time fantasizing about their dream men than practicing, imo). bell and otoha's story is very short as well.

(not really a spoiler but kind of a summary)
basically otoha and bell + the other girl you saw in there are on the same team. they go to the same idol school. during most of the anime it's depicted that otoha is bell's gofer. and bell does treat otoha fairly poorly. however, in the later half of the series certain events bring bell and otoha together as better friends.

Finished watching Pretty Rhythm last week and I have to say that Otoha does hold Bell very dearly.
For the first timers, the anime title is Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live; it's the third anime series of Pretty Rhythm. If you watch it, I hope you enjoy it.

All the references to happiness come from a monologue Otoha has around episode 15 where she keeps thinking about how happy she wants Bell to be. Also Märchen means "fairy tale like", it's one of Otoha's catchphrases.

And yeah, there is a good bit of straight romance in this series.

It's pretty spread out. I think the resolution (and fluff) happens somewhere in the last 10 episodes though.

I think these two might be one of new favorite OTPs.

Nope its not related to pretty cure series- though there are some similarities - mostly style wise. If you have seen any of the PriPara show currently airing that is a pretty rhythm spin off and very similar, but minus ice skating.
