Well, if the OVA's come out and deals with this scene and this ISN'T what happened, then undoubtedly we should riot in the streets. Otherwise, there is no other way, given all the context placed into that scene and it's lead-up, in which the series didn't end on those two confessing and (probably) then kissing.
