I guess i have to adjust my Yuri Googles. Can't seem to see the Kim Possible x Sheego ship properly. But definitely I feel the Korra x Asami ship (screw Mako!) and Marceline x PB (my fav's FP but it seems my yuri radar can't find a match for her yet. I guess there's Fionna but Finn's such an asshole so NO).

Finn isn't really an asshole, just an idiot, i forgive the kid cause he is growing and all, though i will admit that most of my interest in adventure time comes from PB and Marceline.

Kigo is a ship that is oozing with subtext based on how obsessed with Kim shego is, the pet names and semi-flirting also help, what really sealed the deal was the episode where shego became "good" and got really close with kim and then was about to tell her something before ron jumped in like an idiot and made her "evil" again.
Also the fact that ron is kinda a terrible boyfriend and they were just good friends until the prom episode forced sudden romantic tension down our throats.
Honestly the only fanart i see of KP anymore is kigo fanart, that ship is keeping that show alive and there are two kigo fanfics that in a lot of peoples eyes have been accepted as headcanon.
The main draw is probably the foe yay! in it, my fav fanfics are always the ones that remember their personalities clash a lot sometimes.

Korra and Asami are basically canon, the writers approve, korras VA said she likes it, all the moments they had are just awesome and mako being married to his job has made him a much more fleshed out character imo.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I feel this would have been a lot better if the author got rid of the gratuitous sex and replaced it with something else.

I guess haven't watched that many episodes of KP. well KP's peak were during my high school. And yeah. My Yuri google aren't working at that time yet. Plus I'm more hooked with my online games Now I'm going to look into it. Just hoping that there are online streams for KP though

Well. I'm kinda biased in not forgiving Finn. Yup. Being too much on FP's side. It got too much feels for me when Finn acted as a jerk in broking FP's pure lovely heart. I was kinda "you deserve it" on that episode where FP became FQ.

This is truth.

You are not the only one. It was definitely rapey. Maki's line "you invited me in so I can have my way with you" made me cringe. While Nico may have subconsciously wanted it, and may gave her consent at the end, it seems to me that she only did that because well... there's no thing else she could do already, so may as well just go with the flow.

Maybe I'm just thinking to much since this is porn... but I still prefer it to be consensual. That's why I don't like Ooshima's Maki, who seems to be horny 24/7 and just wants to get into her gf's pants no matter Nico's discomfort.

Nevertheless, Crystal Sugar and Machine Gun is still a wonderful read though. A little cliche, yes, but it gives a very nice and plausible depiction of the girls' lives in the future given their background. Ooshima's comment about Nico's mom is also quite on point and interesting. I think Ooshima is totally capable of capturing the character, it's just... she chooses to make porn.

Hope we can see some serious stuff from her in the future. We're definitely in no lack of NicoMaki porn though.

This feels like it's trying to do at least two, maybe three different things at once. You've got the standard NicoMaki two-tsunderes-bouncing-off-each-other thing, you've got the whole "we have to pursue our separate dreams but once we achieve them we'll be real lovers (someday)!" thing that Japanese school romance seems to thrive on, and you've got the genuinely damaging "(some) women don't know what they really want is sex with you so your job is to force them into realizing it" bit. It's really kind of a mess.

But— this has moments I truly love. The exchange where they're both being real about the aspects of each other that they hate, and the flashbacks that show how hollow each of them is behind her persona — finger kiss perfection. We're often most frustrated at those traits in others that we have ourselves, and there's a strong current of self-loathing in both of them, under all the layers of pretension and anger at the world.
