The angel was a captured prisoner in Hell. Hence the ankle cuff and chain.

While she was a prisoner, a demon was sent to corrupt her.

The demon took advantage of the chained, bound angel by introducing her to 1001 erotic delights. The angel did indeed become very slightly corrupted. She likes being tied up and spanked. She likes all the naughty things the demon girl does to her. Hence the glowing horns on her halo.

However, her true nature, her inner core, remained angelic. She realized that sex and sexuality and erotic pleasure is one of the Creator's many Gifts to humanity. She embraced it. She made it a celebration of life and of the Universe the Creator had made.

Her innocence and purity flowed back along the erotic pathways to the demon, who found herself feeling love for the first time ever in her millennia-old existence. She found herself drawn to the angel she was sent to corrupt. And, eventually, she freed the angel.

Too corrupt for Heaven and too pure for Hell, they're now holed up in a motel just outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming while they decide what to do next.
