Yuu appears too infrequently IMO to be considered a "main" choice, although Asuka's a good dark horse. And of course there's poor Uchi as well.

THANK YOU! Very helpful. It's a really important chapter. Tomoko continues to bridge the distance between her self-despised self and the women she has most admired, Yuu and Megumi and Asuka. Both inspiring and painful.

Ucchi really is thinking and feeling in disconnect, though.

It does seem to me like in the end it comes down to Yuri and Ucchi, really. I can see Tomoko "settling" for Ucchi because she won't have to pinch herself to see if she's dreaming all the time and she's a classical tsundere right out of an eroge. I love these doujins because they acknowledge that the full title of the actual manga series should be "It's not my fault that I'm not popular WITH BOYS!"

Yuu's straight (or at least dated guys in the past and barely keeps up with Tomoko anymore) and Asuka is more like a one-sided crush, I just don't get a "I'm in love with you" vibe from her to Tomoko, maybe more like "Oh, Tomoko's like a cute cat, I'll take care of her"

EDIT: Uchi is definitely yandere for Tomoko but that's like a one-sided crush as well
