^ No, I'm still going to watch it. But for me, it seemed like they were going for the "Riko route" with Chika, and as a ChikaYou shipper, I got a bit demotivated.

In 139 chapters of this series, there have been no substantial male characters except for Tomoko's brother Tomoki. There have been at least ten well-developed female characters and a rich focus on female friendship. Why see a "sharp het turn" coming? We'll be lucky if it goes on beyond high school, anyway.

Azura is the only gen 1 character that is blood-related to Corrin. They're revealed to be cousins in Revelations, but no one ever brings it up for whatever reason.

I think dropping the yuri/yuri subtext is a bad idea and the authors know it. It's one of the main reasons for the manga's second wind.
