For an actual suggestion related to tags, me and Faust had an idea while discussing how tags can potentially spoil content, while on the contrary the lack of certain "trigger" tags —if you excuse the buzzword— can result in people accidentally reading things they might dislike, or that might make them feel bad.

I don't know if DS's server/site architecture would support this idea, but how about spoiler tagged tags? To clarify, I'm not speaking about the Spoiler tag, but rather that tags that might be considered to be spoilers could be hidden in the same way as in forum posts, e.g. [Lots of Handholding].

This way, people who aren't sensitive to anything don't get spoiled on twists or punchlines, while people who do wish to avoid certain tags can do so through blacklisting (which currently doesn't always work, as some things aren't tagged to avoid spoilers) or simply mousing over the spoiler tagged tags.

A system like they have on VNDB, to show/hide spoiler tags. If the option to show or hide spoiler tags is always present, the presence or lack of such an option isn't a spoiler in itself; if you click [Show Spoilers] for a story that doesn't have any would-be spoiler tags, nothing would show up.

While implementing either of these would be a big change to the site, I think it would ultimately improve things for both readers and admins/moderators/uploaders, as there would —hopefully— be less posts complaining about tags one way or another, and uploaders wouldn't have to weigh spoilers vs transparency when tagging new uploads.

Apologies in advance, not sure where else to report this: as i mentioned here, the author of this has made an updated version with all the unfinished pages done, wich has also been translated (again, not sure if i'm allowed to post external links, but to give an idea, it's on Sadpanda). I thought the current version here could have been updated as well, i've seen it happening before with other examples.

Mm. BDSM specifics are hard to know what to do with, there's a lot of things that tagging individually might come across as too much, due to being overly common in BDSM works. Pet play may be specific enough to tag on it's own though, might be good. Are there other examples?

And I did mean Pet play specifically, yeah. Don't personally think/know if either of those other two tag suggestions are worth it tho. I'll put some thought into Pet Play and the others I said were possibles this weekend though. Might help if anyone else here has thoughts on it too, for different views.

I'd really like a Rape mention tag so that I can be warned of scenes where there's discussion of rape but not an actual depiction of rape. I have anxiety and, due to episodes in my past, rape discussions sometimes put me through panic attacks and depressive episodes. This happened when I first read Octave (there's a scene where one character speaks about "forcefully violating" the other, or something like that), and it happened again when I re-read it years later, not remembering why I had stopped reading the first time.

This would be a real relief for me, I could opt not to read a chapter if I'm feeling particularly vulnerable on a specific day, or to avoid the story altogether.

I don't seem to be receiving subscriptions notifications the last few days. For example this is a series I'm subscribed to and the latest chapter was uploaded almost 24 hours ago now. Usually I receive notifications within a few hours of chapters being uploaded but there's nothing for it. The latest chapter of Killing Me! has been uploaded just over 24 hours and I didn't get a notification for that either, though the previous chapter was the second to last notification I've gotten from the site.

I like the pet play tag idea, there's a lot of content that falls under that term. However, some problems I can see with it is that it might clutter things up a bit and some people might prefer just having a bdsm tag that covers everything.

Booru sites have something called Tag Implication, whih automatically add a tag to a post if you add another. For example, adding Shibari automatically adds BDSM too. I think having a feature like that on Dynasty could help with this.

So there seems to be a bug where if you use the Preview Post feature about half a dozen times in a row (hi, I'm a perfectionist), the forum incorrectly flags the post as spam. I'm guessing it's mistakenly passing the preview post data into the spam detector as if it were an actual post, despite nothing having been actually publicly posted yet.

Edit: Not sure if the flag is ever cleared, come to think of it. I'll try posting it again tomorrow and let you know if the system at least eventually fixes itself.

Edit: Looks like it does eventually right itself within at most a day. Still frustrating, though.

Said it in a different thread, but I've reported this, and it's being looked into. AFAIK, the cause has been found, it's just a matter of how to fix it/if it can be.
