Agreed. I couldn't get through the first couple of volumes, so I skipped most of the early chapters and started reading from the school trip arc and I found that it really went uphill from there.

As for Tomoko, I think she's a canon bisexual, really. She's probably not so messed up now she'd actually sleep with her brother, but that's about it for progress. She's probably just now edging away from her "master plan" to sleep around at school to become popular, too.

If it goes on long enough, I agree she'll end up with Ucchi, though.
